1  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Completed Projects / Fiber Friday - November 20, 2009 on: November 21, 2009 02:16:33 AM
Hi, is anybody spinning here?
This week I was sitting and knitting. And turned this:

Happy FF to all!
Here is my experiment on Hucaya alpaca handspinning. I carded Hucaya with mohair locks and merino roving as Hucaya fiber has "no memory to twist". I can not do really bulky yarn with my electric spinning machine so I used antique spindle this time. The yarn is airy and very soft to touch but I can't imagine where to use it Smiley))
But it's beautiful, yeah!

Happy Fiber Friday!
Here is my springtime Seabird yarn (goat, feather, silk), only 15 meters long but very amazing.
6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Strange Stylish Crazy Harem Pants Sarouels with pattern (lot of pictures) on: March 25, 2009 04:39:24 AM
You will need 2 grannie squares from 75 x 75 cm up to 90 x 90 cm depending of your tall. That's all!!! (not counting the belt) Exellent anti-crysis solution to utilize all yarn remnants

Sew the squares together and fold:

Form the leg and sew:

Not matter how to wear,  front and back are identical

The belt is made by continuing to crochet the top part (about 30 cm) then plied in half and sewn.

Exuse me my poor English, hope it was easy to understand.

7  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / High-power Kitchen Energizer on: January 06, 2008 03:02:18 AM
Winter is nasty here in my country. Cold, slush, wind, no snow, nothing romantic. I prefer sun, flowers and butterflies. I invented this Kitchen Energizer as anti-depression therapy.

8  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Completed Projects / My Birthday yarn on: December 19, 2007 04:54:02 AM
Hi! Today is my birthday, I have many greetings, complements and my first Blythe. I am so happy that I've... spun this yarn:

Knitwit, thank you for instructions!
9  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Completed Projects / Fiber Transformations on: November 23, 2007 05:02:53 AM
I have missed 4 Fiber Fridays. I was very busy with my super-puper-extra-mega-Project. Now it is ready, et voilà:
1. I started by washing angora goat fleece bought on E-bay. It was very dirty, I don't want to post the pictures here in such beautiful place.
2. I painted merino roving and goat curls

3. I spun the yarn (700 gr)

4. I knitted the coat

Please, girls and boys, place in this topic your projects too. It's very interesting to see how the fibers could be transformed.
