Here is my experiment on Hucaya alpaca handspinning. I carded Hucaya with mohair locks and merino roving as Hucaya fiber has "no memory to twist". I can not do really bulky yarn with my electric spinning machine so I used antique spindle this time. The yarn is airy and very soft to touch but I can't imagine where to use it ))
But it's beautiful, yeah!

Hey, hey - it's Fiber Friday!

Just finished my new mega-project: 500+ gr of chiengora yarn.
Sahara: 5 skeins of purebred collie with small abount of suri alpaca and angora goat. The yarn in simple, I added seashells on the picture because of nostalgy, I love Red Sea badly...

Here is my springtime Seabird yarn (goat, feather, silk), only 15 meters long but very amazing.

You will need 2 grannie squares from 75 x 75 cm up to 90 x 90 cm depending of your tall. That's all!!! (not counting the belt) Exellent anti-crysis solution to utilize all yarn remnants







Sew the squares together and fold:



Form the leg and sew:



Not matter how to wear,  front and back are identical



The belt is made by continuing to crochet the top part (about 30 cm) then plied in half and sewn.

Exuse me my poor English, hope it was easy to understand.

I have missed 4 Fiber Fridays. I was very busy with my super-puper-extra-mega-Project. Now it is ready, et voilà:
1. I started by washing angora goat fleece bought on E-bay. It was very dirty, I don't want to post the pictures here in such beautiful place.
2. I painted merino roving and goat curls

3. I spun the yarn (700 gr)

4. I knitted the coat


Please, girls and boys, place in this topic your projects too. It's very interesting to see how the fibers could be transformed.
