If you're using a Windows Box, you can grab them (and a bunch of other cool symbols) in the Unicode section of Character Map (look in your Accessories folder, it's installed by default).  Yay for ASCII art!

I don't think that's what ASCII art really means, but yay for them anyway Smiley

Well, I have seen them used in ASCII art, and they are right next to all the lines and blocks and stuff we used to use for screen elements on BBSs. :-)

YKYACW you design lace-back fingerless mitts on the spot for a lady at your yarn shop, because the yarn she plans to use just has to become something more visible than socks.

Okay, this is so _not_ helping with my perfectionism.  All this stuff is so cool!
25  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Retro Video Game Swap (Sign-ups CLOSED ; send out by 11/2/07) on: October 15, 2007 10:02:26 PM
I just got the tools I need for my biggest project.  They're all planned out, now I just need to make the things!  :-)

Finished the scarf, but I have felt ill all night... hopefully I will feel better tomorrow.  At least I can design on the computer while being sick...

I feel all behind  now- I have been working like mad on my winter scarf so I can finish it before things get frigid and still have time to craft for my swaps...
28  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: I need pics from Continental Knitters! Please read! on: October 11, 2007 12:01:24 PM
I found out recently on Ravelry that I usually actually knit Eastern Uncrossed, as practically everything I am making is either garter stitch or in the round.  Combination is basically an English knit stitch and an Eastern purl stitch, but it works best on stockinette.  When I actually knit something flat in stockinette, I might switch back to Combination, but I actually like the way purls work in straight Eastern... Smiley

Keep the pics coming- I am going to be knitting some felted water bottle cozies for my dad using the different yarn holds.  I figure the felting will cover any gauge weirdness because of learning curve. Smiley

YCYACW your brain makes up YKYACW posts for other crafting sites...

Not to torment those of you who aren't on it, but:

YKYARavelerW- you can't knit at home any more without sitting in front of the Radar.  :-)

YKYACW you're jealous of all the people who have Joann's and Michael's across the parking lot from each other.

You'll really hate me, then; I have Joann's, Michael's, and Guiry's (art and decorator supplies) all in one strip mall.  Plus my choice of Souper Salad or reasonably inexpensive Japanese food within three blocks of that.  I love my strip mall.  Plus, I pass the Joann's superstore once a week when I go way south for gaming.  Now, ask me how much disposable income I manage to retain...
