101  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: An old laptop? on: July 28, 2007 06:23:41 PM
I don't really know anything about computers, but I've heard that if you take apart a computer or TV you can't take apart the part with a screen because theres a weird light or something that's dangerous.  I really have no idea what I'm talking about, though, so just be careful

I think you might be talking about an LED Screen. This computer looks old enough to not be an LED screen or flat panel screen, so it might be safe.

Can you give us more of a tutorial? I am still unsure of how you put this together.
105  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: One Piece DIY Cloth Menstrual Pads *Tutorial* on: July 17, 2007 08:40:55 PM
I personally don't think it's gross because people in developing countries don't have the sanitary products like we do in the us/canadian/europian countries, etc. So traditionally they still have to wear cloth pads. I myself would love to use these because my bum becomes raw from wearing pads sometimes.

I might make a similar one for slytherin, I'm more for slytherin and raven claw than hufflepuff and gryffindor.

I have a long black sweater that I could use, so I might just put the stenciling on, and did you use regular acrylic paint? Or what paint did you use?
