1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Face Plate AKA Play With Your Food on: December 14, 2010 04:33:06 PM
I have a Silhouette SD paper cutting machine, and they've recently updated the computer program that operates the machine so there's some learnin' going on.  I've seen these plates here on Craftster but they were hand-painted, something that I have failed at :^(   But I figured out how to make it using the Silhouette and new program.  My granddaughter helped me by "scraping" the "sticker" onto the plate and then we proceeded to play with our lunch.

2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Cookies for Santa on: November 23, 2010 12:49:34 PM
Here's a present I'm making for my grandbabies this year.  The plate is from the Dollar Tree, and the words were cut out of sign vinyl with my Silhouette machine.  I think these are so cute! The idea just "came" to me, then I googled to find just the right words.

3  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Ho Ho Muno Stocking for DGD on: December 10, 2009 07:16:38 PM
The Christmas stocking I made for my granddaughter this year.

got the idea off a blog. The blogger, Cheerios Underfoot, has a pattern, but it's smaller than I wanted. I just used a stocking pattern I've used before, cut out some circles (traced from a ribbon spool) and pinned them onto the felt behind the stocking pattern, then cut out. Used same circle pattern for white of eye, then traced around bottom of salt shaker to get black part of eye. "freehanded" the mouth and teeth. Sewed black to white of eye, then sewed eye to front of stocking, stuffing as I went. Sewed on mouth, then sewed teeth. Then added "hanger" to inside of back piece, then sewed around outside of stocking. All in felt so no seams/turning, etc.  Here's the link

4  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Hair Club for Babies (crocheted version of hallowig) on: January 28, 2008 06:34:03 PM
I made a crocheted hallowig in bright purple a few years ago for my daughter while she was in college.  She really liked it, but I never got a photo of it.  Sad
Recently I saw a baby-sized knitted Hallowig, and was re-inspired (is that a word?).  I have the CUTEST granddaughter, but at 11 months old, she's still nearly hairless!  So, of course, she needs a crocheted wig.
So here's what I've made for her, now just need to try it on her (she lives about an hour away...  Sad )

5  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Cutie Crocheted Dress Purse (image intense) on: January 24, 2008 04:34:16 PM
Here's a pic of a purse that I've made recently.  I've made several of these, gave some away, even sold a few. Tell me what you think:

The one that looks black is actually a fuzzy soft yarn (how do you spell chenille???) in a very dark red.
6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Record Purse (was Long Time Lurker, first time posting) on: January 22, 2008 09:06:01 PM
"modified" to add actual  pics instead of links

This is the first time I've started a thread, and first time I've uploaded a photo, so be gentle with me and here's hopin' it works!  (Oops, even tho I joined awhile back and have even become a "friend of Craftster" I haven't posted enough times to put a pic on, so you'll have to click on the link for my project:

I've been making purse from record albums, here's one of them (my favorite, at least my favorite for today)

Tell me what you think
