1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Cat barrettes on: September 17, 2009 11:23:00 AM
Not seen anything like that before but they are beautiful. Like how the cats aren't too cutesy either.
2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Victorian Inspired Lace Corsage (lots of pictures) on: March 02, 2009 07:46:34 AM
That's seriously beautiful, it looks like something a glamourous Victorial lady would have worn with pride.
3  CITY GUIDES FOR CRAFTSTERS / U.K. AND IRELAND / Non online hair accessory supplies? on: March 02, 2009 07:32:19 AM
Anywhere in the UK sell basic alligator and barrette clips and hair combs (the ones for holding hair in place not getting tangles out) fairly cheaply?

I'm cool with websites that I can phone up and order from but I'd rather not buy hundreds of clips from the US and pay shipping (I'm just starting to make hair flowers etc, not doing it as a business)

Cheers!

A stall on Peterborough market has a good selection of fabrics, cheaper than John Lewis. However there aren't many reasons for visiting Peterborough when Cambridge is so mucher nicer!
5  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: Gifts For Vegans on: November 17, 2008 11:31:21 AM
Stencilled patches with vegan messages? Or a resuable bag with stencilled/screenprinted slogans/images? I'd be touched if someone made me those.

Vegan candy? or cook both of you a vegan meal?
6  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: toilet roll on: September 10, 2008 10:15:33 AM
Some sort of pinata?
7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: recons don't have to be fancy to be awesome! on: September 08, 2008 12:48:13 PM
You're not 'kind of cheating' at all! The ones you made for you are a really good fit on you and look very 'wearable' if you know what I mean; clothes you'll use regularly.

I like Gok's vision with the stuff he DIYs but I wish he'd do stuff that lasts rather than quick fixes. Its far easier to chop bits off something that costs 100 if you have Channel 4's budget to play with!

Does it hold up well? Nice work.
10  COOKING / Vegetarian / Vegan / Re: tahini ideas? on: June 17, 2008 05:15:52 AM
Before I was vegan I used to have tahini and honey sandwiches.
Babaganoush/roasted eggplant spread is another good one.
