11  COOKING / Dessert / Happy American Independance Day!(adult language!)(on a CAKE!) on: July 04, 2008 04:50:04 PM
i am going to a bbq/party tonight at a friends house, and it was requested i bake something. so i made a chocolate cake with chocolate pudding filling and chocolate icing. you know, so that anyone who drinks too much only needs to eat a little of this cake to throw up. just trying to help. Smiley

anyway, tried to decorate it, but had a little problem on the sides. it kinda MELTED. i tried to make it look like fireworks (since we can't have any where i live) but eventually gave up and just squirted frosting randomly.

anyway, here is the top, with my terrible sense of humor. (my gramma was horrified, so by my rules, that means it is an awesome cake, lol)

have a great 4th of July, don't drink too much or catch anything on fire, and hope your pets are okay.

As long as they are inspiration bunnies and not vampire bunnies! Long live Bunnicula and James Howe!

i LOVED bunnicula as a kid. one of my very favorite book series. i HAD to get a bunny because i thought it was a vampire bunny too.

harry is about 9 inches tall and Dolores is about 6 or 7.

i forgot to measure her, and she is now in the hands of my friend who LOVES her, and the first thing he did was make her totally creep out one of our friends. it was awesome.

i definitely think that ADD is a big contributor to many women not getting into comics. some of them are so intricate, and so hard to follow, being a woman, you just don't have time. ladies (especially crafty ones) have so many other projects and things to keep them busy, recreational-y, that we don't always have TIME to read and research comics. it's relatively popular and cool for women to knit and sew and be artsy, that that's what we are doing, while with men, being crafty is not so popular, so they can spend time on comics and get the obsession.

but that might just be me being sexist. sorry, i am taking a women's history class that starts this week, and i am getting pumped i guess. *twitches and shouts 'DOWN WITH THE MAN'* lol.

also, "tiny plastic crack" sounds like the cutest thing ever.
