"he was a bit of a lush"

i laughed so hard when i saw and read that. here i thought it was going to be a post about little innocent toys. lol. amazing.

and i love the colors of the whale.

YAY! you liked it!

and even though the doll took a really long time to make and i used reference pictures, and hand sewed everything, the bit i am proudest of are his goggles, which took maybe 20 minutes to make. they glow in the dark, lol.
3  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: The Gorgeous Choker Swap Gallery on: August 02, 2008 09:59:02 PM
ok, so i received yesterday, and was so excited, i actually waited until after i showered to open my package so i could put it on and be all clean! i actually got 2 gorgeous chokers from Anya Kase: first a goth inspired one:

it's beaded, and then chained together

i LOVE the button ("Buttons" was what a very dear friend/mentor used to call me) and the clasp is simply an elastic loop that hooks around the button. GENIUS! and so simple to put on...

next is a gold and red beaded one that will match my pirate outfit (for pirate faire Smiley) PERFECTLY. and gold and red are probably my tow best colors. my boyfriend complemented me on it, said it brought out my eyes (*swoons*) lol.

detail of the clasp

detail of brilliant beadwork

ACTION SHOT. please ignore drugged out look. Smiley

thank you so so SO much. i am working on yours. thank you for being patient!

i still haven't sent out! i am so lame, i know, but i am not flaking, just...busy. and the crafting is taking longer than i had thought. oops.
5  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Re: Narritive Collage! on: July 30, 2008 01:23:30 PM
wow it looks so much better not having to try to see it on a cell phone, lol. jewelry box would be cool. i MIGHT have some leftover velvety scraps you could line it with... Undecided
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Adulterated Wedding Top *warning? fake blood* on: July 28, 2008 03:17:24 PM

offensive things are the best! i love shocking people, and this is very shocking. Smiley
7  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: The Gorgeous Choker Swap - Sign-ups: 06/16/08 to *06/22/08*, Send outs 07/30 on: July 24, 2008 01:36:48 PM
i will probably be a few days late sending.

but i will NOT flake.

i am just late on my OTHER swap too, so i am going to focus on finishing that, and then it's my last week of school, so i am going to worry about that too, and i have a whole list of excuses,  but it really just comes down to me being behind in EVERYTHING right now.

but i will send. i PROMISE.

unless i die unexpectedly, then...sorry.
8  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Superhero/Comics Swap Gallery on: July 17, 2008 03:20:12 PM
as promised, a pic heavy edition of "what i scored this swap". (somehow my computer is working now, but i don't know how much longer this will last, so i am going to post a BUNCH of pics right now to get it done. sorry if your pooter is slow. oops.)

ok, so i received:

and started to open:

and here is teh card:

and the COMIC BOOK BAG (i sekritly think it makes me look really sexy when i wear it, lol):

it spoke to me:

TREASURES:

the GAME of extraordinary gentlemen:

game pieces:

game and pieces (told you i got pic happy):

RULES on the back:

MAGNETS (the dark one is holographic):

moar:

the ONLY good pic i could get of the holographic one, and coincidentally, the first one i took really quickly:

COMICS! and yes, i read them RIGHT AWAY:

cutest box ever. origami comic box! with a little bow!

and the awesome-amazing tank girl bracelet inside, that i ALMOST wore to class, but was too scared it would break on my way there (i rode my bike, and thought that could be dangerous):

me trying to put it on. it's really hard to put a bracelet on oneself and take a picture of it. please excuse the look of death, it was a lazy, no make up day, and i has skin problems:

ACTION SHOTS:

i have other, blurrier pics, and i can take more if needed.
9  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Superhero/Comics Swap Gallery on: July 16, 2008 04:19:27 PM
i received today! and i took pics! and i got all excited, and started to edit them, and then realized...the only computer with a connection to the internet currently is dial up, and about 8 years old. and i have like, 20 pics, at least. and that would take like 5 hours to upload them. Sad

BUT, the NORMAL, FUNCTIONING, HIGH SPEED internet should be fixed by tomorrow. so, pics then, sorry.

but everything i got is AMAZING, and i cannot stop smiling. so they will be AWESOME pics, of AWESOME items, but like everything else, a little late.

sorry. Sad

got supplies, got medium and small planned and started, still gotta pick second small (smalls really are hard to think of) and i even recruited my art major friend to help me. i will probably be sending a few days late, cause that's who i am, and i have a midterm this week.

but not too late, i promise.
