1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: The Happy Housewife Gallery! on: September 21, 2008 08:22:15 AM
Prepare to be jealous, all! I received from Pinklrt yesterday and I truly hit the jackpot. I am stunned by her thoughtfulness and creativity and the way she reformed my wayward craft room in one fell swoop. I haven't had enough processing time to get everything up in my craft room, but I will and soon the world will be mine.

Without further ado, photos of my awesome swap package.

First, the entire package (minus coffee cozy and recipe cards, which are pictured later below).

Pinklrt saw my sock monkey ironing board cover that I got from etsy and cleverly based all the swap items on that theme and that of extreme cuteness.

Below: 14" pillow forms, making over my previously icky 14" pillows from heck into snappy craft room jazziness.

Below: sock monkey and red-lined nesting baskets (red is my fave color and I also showed pinklrt a craftster thread of the most awesome craft room in red and aqua--she took it from there). Because my craft room functions also as a guest room, these babies will be great for corraling guest room hospitality items and my craft stuff. I love them! I will build a shelf in their honor.

Below: I told pinklrt I needed some wall art for this currently blank room, but it's gotta be functional, too, so ta-da--these terrific posting boards, two of each design. The blue ones feature a pocket! Whee! She even put mounting hardware on there for me! Yay!

Below: Coordinating marble pushpins for putting items on those boards! Whee!

Below: I am completely bowled over by this piece of amazingness! Pinklrt and I both love cupcakes, so she crocheted me a cupcake pincushion! Are you listening here? A cupcake pincushion! With rainbow "sprinkles" for pins! I am so lucky.

Below: A sock monkey coffee cozy! Whee!

Below: Some recipe cards that pinklrt made in a digital scrapbooking application. I can't wait to try them.

I am so lucky! Thank you pinklrt for the most amazing swap package i have ever received. I love everything.

P.S. Check out my flickr set of this swap to see both the things I sent and received. http://www.flickr.com/photos/themrts/sets/72157607401543555/
2  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: The Happy Housewife Gallery! on: September 16, 2008 07:17:36 AM
Wow-- I am so impressed with everyone's handiwork! I especially like the applesauce recipe on the towel. What a cute idea to emrboider a recipe! I am so stealing that idea, if I don't lose patience with sewing 1/2 c. over and over. I'll avoid abbreviations and thus, french knots. I love all the Italian phrase napkins, too. And science stuff! So fun! Nice stuff, everyone!
3  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: The Happy Homemaker Swap.- CLOSED-Sendout 9-13 on: September 16, 2008 06:53:44 AM
I sent on Friday and not a moment too soon. My house is going to be without power for at least another week (so says the power company--I'm in my electrified office now). My poor neglected sewing machine! I live 300 miles inland and it smells like the ocean here--no kidding. Ike was still a Cat 1 Hurricane when it threw a 120 ft. pine tree through my neighbor's roof! I am psyched that pinklrt sent my swap package to so I can have something to cheer me up from playing Frontier House...
4  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: The Happy Homemaker Swap.- CLOSED-Sendout 9-13 on: August 24, 2008 08:19:10 PM
Yes, I think pinklrt and I might have been matched up TOO well because I, too, am wanting to make an extra of everything for myself!

I have completed one small which means I have...I can't remember how much left. A bunch? We've decided to make our small swap a "medium" (9pts) for each other, which is great because I was so indecisive about signing up for small or large. I have my list of projects, so I need to count up the crafting points for each one and then tweak as needed. Good to hear everyone's progress on this!
5  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Tea Towel Tour 4- INTERNATIONAL sign-ups until 4 PM MT Aug 25 1ST send out Sep 3 on: August 15, 2008 11:12:06 AM
Blast and rats! I have to skip out on this. I just started back to school and September/October is my busy travel season for work, too. I will be following the gallery thread jealously though, y'all. Have a great tour and see you for number 5!

XOXO,
Crafty McG
6  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: The Happy Homemaker Swap. Signups 7-27 to 8-13. Sendouts 9-13 on: August 05, 2008 04:45:25 PM
I keep lurking, lurking, lurking on this thread, hoping that sign-ups will magically have closed and I can start crafting on this already! But, it's all for the best. I intentionally chose a swap that didn't start until AFTER my final paper was due. Oy; I'd better get back to that now, but I can't wait to whip up some marvelous (I hope!) home items for one of you! 7  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: one up! on: July 31, 2008 01:51:37 PM
So cute and he brings extra life with him! Whee!
8  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Re: Radioactive yellow kitchen! on: July 31, 2008 07:50:07 AM
This rocks! I think you were absolutely right to go with the bright yellow--it makes for such a happy space. I am the opposite with paint; if I open the can and it's NOT totally loud, I have a panic attack.  Grin The curtains are my total favorite and I love the illusion of white and then the close up cuteness of polka dots. Great job; if this room is any indication, your whole house will be glowing with warmth and cheeriness in no time. Great integration of swap stuff, too.

P.S. I also love your phone!!
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Bleach stain on fave shirt, now recon'd into pink sugary goodness!! (pic heavy) on: July 31, 2008 07:42:46 AM
Whoa, the bleach stain may have been a sad event, but you COMPLETELY saved the day! As cool as the t-shirt was, this hoodie ROCKS! Cute hair, too and great job!   Grin
10  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: Tetris Charms on: July 31, 2008 07:35:45 AM
Why is it that anything tetris always sucks me in? These are super cute. Must add to extensive tetris projects to-do list...
