13  CRAFTSTER CRAFT CHALLENGES / Craftster Craft Challenge Theme Ideas, Etc. / 3 times right? on: December 06, 2007 03:13:59 AM
aaaaaaaaaaargh i am so sleeping today....i posted this 2 times in the wrong section.
i hope it is right now.
sorry.

after i saw this link i was so inspired, maybee we could make a challenge of it.
http://www.galerie-eewal.nl/html/kunstenaars/tolsma.html

this artist makes jewelry with the inside of bike wheels (sorry i dont know the english word for it)
it would be fun to see what everyone come up with.
but i have also seen people that made furniture or vases with that.
so it dont have to be jewelry.
tell me what you think of the idea.
oh here some pics for the idea.

aaaaaargh...all things went wrong while i took the pics.
the frame was on my wall and when i took the pics it fall off...big hole in my wall frame broken. Cry
so i put it on the table now and i hang it up later this week with a bigger hook on the back.
i bought a metal plate for the back(for the magnets), and draw this face on some giftwrap paper.
put some plastic on top so i can draw/write whatever on this piece of art  Cool and erase it later. i can also use it as an servingtray.

oh....and this is the before pic

i bought it for 3 euro.
i hope you like it.
15  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / hmmmz...it all began with a pillow on: November 02, 2007 08:39:03 AM
when i saw this amazing fabric i had to buy it and said to myself...hmmm i gonna make some pillows with this fabric.
on my way home i got some more blue stuff to match the pillows...candles and curtains etc.
next week i went back for more fabric because i decided to re-upholster my chairs, and i took some brown fabric for my couch (hmmmz this word looks stupid, correct me if i am wrong)
anyway.....after the couch and chairs were finished i painted the wall and hang up a new lamp.
it is all temporary because we need to do the whole room..new walls, new floor, new ceiling etc etc...but for now i feel much more happy in this room then before.
i still wanna do some other things i wanna buy that fantastic rug i saw and i wanna paint the other table i have in my garage that is now a sort of puzzle that i have to  put together.
tell me what you think.

and this is how it was.

hmm i dont have much before pics.

17  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Discussion and Questions / i really need your help on: September 04, 2007 11:51:30 AM
i have been busy painting my garagedoor.
but now i am trying to paint a glass in lead window.
i tryed different patterns and colors, i even  tryed some things out in paint on my computer using this photo.
but i dont like it the way it is.
does anyone have an idea of how to match the windows more with the door, maybee another pattern or another color.
dont hesitate to use your paint skills or so.
the left window is not finished but the right one is.
and i need to paint some grips and things.
well, if the window won`t work i paint it  green too.
but i first wanna try this out.

this is how it started

then this, and i was so happy because i liked how it looks, but now i am not happy anymore, so please please help me, and give me some advice.

thank you for helping.

18  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / YEAHH another kidsroom....army-theme this time on: August 07, 2007 06:34:34 AM
here is my sons army room its not finished yet.
but i couldn`t wait to show it here.
his locker need some paint..and i started already, but never have the time to finish it.
so that locker is still waiting in the garage.
i wanna give it a camouflage look.
and i wanna make a border for the animalprints on the wall.
here are some pics:

my mother made this for my son:

hihi i know it really looks fake, but that wall was so ugly i made this with some wood from the garage...just some leftovers, so its not so nice...but always better then how it was.
i cut the flames out of adhesive foil.
and i think i gonna put some real wood in.

his desk was like this...only the wood.
but then i tried out to put the metallook on.
but i didn`t like it, only the top where i cut out his name i liked.
the rest i painted and put wallpaper on the drawers.
and his chair got a new fabric.

and this is how it turned out.

i hope you like it.
let me know what you think.
and thanks for looking......
