2  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Re: pouch sling for my sisters newborn on: December 15, 2007 11:32:58 AM
Not sure if this is the place for it, but my kiddo wasn't a good candidate for slinging in her younger years, because of a neurological disorder that made her completely limp & weak. Now that she's 8 years old, she's small at 40 lbs, but can actually balance and cling somewhat. I've been wondering lately if there isn't a way to wear her again, especially when shopping. She hates riding in the grocery carts so much (as much as I hate putting her in them!). This gives me the idea that a sling may be an option again.

I've seen the caffeine molecule pendants before, cast in silver, but I like your beaded one better. It has more intricacy & texture.

6  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: Help! Creative ideas for re-gifting an ugly doll on: November 21, 2007 03:51:21 PM
I think you should make a floor lamp. Buy a regular floor lamp, drop a 4 inch PVC pipe down the outside, fill with spray insulation to stabilize, then make a garland of dolls and run them up it. If they're regular sized dolls anyway - I can't tell. If you need to incorporate the shirt, recon it into the lampshade.
