that's very cute, I love the idea of things coming out of pockets on clothing Smiley

Smeddley - I think the chain stitch is just right for your hoop, it makes it feel sort of like a sketch. It's very cute, makes me smile every time I see it Smiley
pinkloe - your research project is awesome, I love the colors.
I guess I didn't put enough details in my project. The quote "it will take a miracle" is from the Princess Bride movie, when Miracle Max gives Westley a miracle cure to bring him back from the dead. The cure is a ball of medicine coated with chocolate "to make it go down easier". It was one of the first things I thought of when I saw the recipe.

La Chapa - yup, chocolate. Someone had to lick all the leftover melted chocolate from the pan Smiley Your butterfly set is very pretty, I would wear that necklace any day.

It wasn't really difficult (except the coating part, but I suspect that was my fault). It's just a lengthy process, because there is a lot of waiting between steps for things to cool in the fridge.

Challenge/Battle/Alert: July wordy - Proverbs
Team/Ninja: Fantasy (new team member, hello Smiley)
Project Geekdom: Fantasy
Bonus Points: Discovery (does trying out a new recipe count?), Nerdy, Super Nerdy
Project Name: It will take a miracle (chocolate dipped hazelnul marbles)
Project Page Link (if available): NA
Brief Description:
I meant for this to go in the June battle, but life was sneaky and the month ended without telling me. I wanted to go with romance, as we all know that true love and a bit of chocolate covering can bring a man back from being mostly dead most of the day. My husband has been a bit unwell in the last few weeks (nothing serious, just not fun times), so I wanted to cheer him up with something yummy. I had this recipe in my bookmarks, so decided to try it, but I think I made a mistake with the liquid amounts because the marbles didn't get solid enough to survive anything less than very careful dipping. I gave up after 5 marbles, which turned into sort of spherical chocolate covered blobs. Used the rest of the melted chocolate to create a hazelnut filled treat, and still have some hazelnut filling left over, which might be mixed with more stuff to become cookies. So, I'm submitting it now, because it's "better late than never" Smiley
The pieces have been slowly disappearing from the fridge, so I think the goal was achieved, even if we didn't get the wow factor.

I was wondering, can I post something that doesn't fit into any challenge, but is, for example, nerdy, to get some nerdy points?

I was wondering: have any of you also printed off the lists with craft prompts? I carry them with me on the train in my backpack, so that if I have to stop crocheting to give my wrists a break, I can start planning the next craft! I'm really looking forward to July's prompts!
I didn't print the lists, but I did write them all neatly down in my notebook, one page dedicated for each month. And I carry it around in my backpack as well. Sadly, I haven't been completing projects lately, so I have lots of half completed things and lots of ideas (include the June battle entry, that is sitting in the fridge waiting for the final steps of the recipe).
Hopefully July will be my month.

Mama24boys - that's very cute, as soon as I saw it I exclaimed "Shiny!". It kind of reminds me of Kaylee's shindig dress, so I think you can claim some nerdy points for it too Smiley

I've been following this thread since it started, after being fascinated by the HP craftalong threads. I think I'll have to join now, it looks like so much fun.
I'd like to join team fantasy, having a dragon for a dad and being married to a dragon, I think that makes sense Smiley

Hi Esjay,
I've had this thread open in my browser for a few days now. I felt I needed to respond somehow but was unsure what to write. I'm still not sure what to write. I guess what I want to say is way to go for taking back control of your space. And as PeachieClean wrote, we're a friendly bunch here. This is one of the nicest communities I've even seen online, and I don't think you have upset people by being direct and honest.
