1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Owl Card on: August 05, 2007 07:23:30 AM
I made this card for my sister. The Owl is embroidered...but since it is a card I thought it fit better in the Paper Crafts section. I got the transfer for the owl at Walmart. This little guy was the test pattern. My sister wanted tea-towels with pink owls so I made a small one for her.

Let me know what you think.
2  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Introduce Yourself / Newbie on: July 31, 2007 05:33:19 AM
Hello! I'm not great at talking about myself but here goes. I've loved crafting all my life...I stick mostly to embroidery, crochet and scrapbooking, but I LOVE learning new things.
Last year my dh and I moved pretty far from work and we car pool so I started crocheting on my way, a friend saw my work and craft night was born. I was searching for new crafts to try out and stumbled across Craftster. I'm hooked. It's really amazing how much talent is out there! It's also nice to have a place I can post my stuff and get feedback from other crafters. I wish I had found this site sooner!
3  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Little bags and a pretty clutch on: July 30, 2007 06:03:55 PM
Hey! This is my first post since joining a little over a week ago. I've crocheted on and off since I was 13, but pretty much only  granny squares...until recently. I decided it was time to learn something new and here is what I came up with. My first bags are a little bigger than coin purses...perfect as a small camera bag...

This is my most current project. My sister wanted a green bag...but I decided that I would try my talents on material I already had before going out and buying more yarn.

I am really proud of the flower...I couldn't quite figure out the pattern I had so I winged it. Turned out a lot like it was supposed to, so I'm happy.

I would love any comments!
