Hi there. Yep, using too much flux causes spitting an smoking of the soldering iron. Instead of painting on the flux with a brush, try a Q-tip, but dab it on a cloth just before applying it to the copper foil. That might give you a lighter application. You don't need a whole lot of flux to do the job. Good luck!
Beautiful! Lovely colors and great designs. This makes a fabulous set. My oldest daughter is not into buying Vera Bradley stuff in sets...purse, matching wallet, makeup bag, cellphone case, etc. She should learn to sew and do these things herself. Thank you for sharing the pattern names!
Very cute! You are as "bad" as me...I've made a purse from placemats, 2 purses, 1 tote bag, and a headband from dish towels in the last few weeks. Who uses this stuff in the kitchen anymore!?? Yeah, us!!
I just made another purse for a friend's bithday present, so I'll post some pictures. Then, the next time I make another, I'll do a tutorial. It was really easy and very quick because you don't have to use a pattern, you just measure and cut. I like EASY!!!
Okay, I'm new at posting, so let's see if this works...
I found a bundle of Martha towels at K-Mart on clearance, 5 for $4.00 and bought them because I loved the colors and prints. I made a purse for my 13 year old daughter and she actually carries it to school! She usually turns up her nose at my creations!
