Hello all!

Here are some cups I drew on. My boyfriend and I found these very simple cups at our local dollar store. We loved how flat and simple they were, but thought they needed a little "something". I used a ceramics pen and drew the design on them.

I got this plate at the dollar store, and was going to break it up and use it in a mosaic. Well, I never got around to doing the mosaic and the plate has been sitting around my room for the last 2 years. I am planning on making a whole dish set, and wanted to use this plate to try out my ceramics pen. Here is what I did:

This painting was inspired by the Bible verse that says "Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised".
The first part of that verse got me thinking, and inspired this painting.

I'm not happy with it though. I like the dripping colors, but I feel like the background needs something.

I need your crafters expert advice.... what should I do with this?!

I love anything mendhi inspired, and I thought my baby Delilah, my acoustic, needed some sprucing up. So I gave her a sweet tat.

I drew the design on contact paper, and then stuck it onto Delilah.

She looks pretty B.A., if I do say so myself.

The color is a bit off in the picture... its not as red. It is more brown than the pictures show. I guess that is what I get for taking pictures at night inside. darn artificial lighting.

I think I have a serious addiction to any type of mendhi designs.

 I think they are beautiful, and this style tends to infiltrate my sketchbook. I am planning on drawing out some designs on some dishes for when I move out. So, this evening I decided to make some more sketches, and then a GENIUS idea hit me smack in the forehead. What if I made my designs into stickers so that I could cover any and every item around me with my obsession?!?!?!?! The closest thing to me was my computer, so I just HAD to make it pretty! I can't believe I walked around with a naked computer all this time. The horror.

All I did was draw out my designs onto a piece of contact paper, and then cut around it and stick it on my computer! Easy!

So hence was born, some new stickers!!! I'm planning on making more. My eventual goal is to put some on my guitar, but I wanted to make sure that the contact paper wasn't going to leave an icky residue. I figured the plastic casing on my computer would be easier to clean than the wood guitar.

Anyone know anything about putting contact paper on guitars? I am way to afraid to paint my baby, for fear that I would mess it up. I also like that I could change the design whenever I get sick of it. Am I crazy, or could this possibly be a good idea?

ps: sorry for the icky icky icky pictures. I don't have good lighting in my room, and I was just to darn lazy to make it better. its late, don't judge me.

I am now completely and utterly OBSESSED with the infinity dress! it is so easy and looks so beautiful on everyone. I saw so many people on here sad such great results I just HAD to try. So here is mine!

Its this awesome charcoal knit. i got it for a dollar a yard at Walmart! I love their dollar fabric! Its the only stuff i sew with, because I am a poor college student.


I am so in love with this fabric. its a nice breezy knit that feels so weightless!

so this summer i am going to be living in africa. and we ALL know no craftster can live without some of their supplies for 2 months. i needed something fancy to put all of my brushes and paints and other crafty goodness in. So, I found an old cigar box and went to town!

I peeled off all of the paper, which took FOREVER. and i still couldn't get it all off... so i used some sand paper to get rid of the stubborn bits. i used just cheapo acrylics and a sharpie. and then i glazed it with modge podge.

 so i'm pretty excited to actually post something on here. I usually just lurk around and drool over every one elses work.

so i used to paint all the time in high school, and since then i haven't painted very much. so 2 years later i decided to pick up a brush again! here is a painting i did for my bf. i dont feel like its finished though.... any suggestions?
