1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Any ideas...? on: December 07, 2008 04:08:09 PM
Hey, I'm planning on making a stuffed Bulbasaur (a pokemon in case you don't know),
for a close friend of my sister.  I'm fairly okay with sewing but does anyone have
any ideas how I could go about making one or some form of a pattern to make/use?
I'd really appreciate any help!!

Oh and here's a picture for reference:
2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Forever the Sickest Kids Doll on: December 04, 2008 08:40:30 AM
I made this doll of one of Forever the Sickest Kids guitarists, Caleb.  I made him
for my sister because she loves the band.  I had also made a second doll to give
to him (my sister had suggested it) after their show in NJ on the Sassyback Tour in November, but unfortunately didn't see after the show.  Sad

I used one of the patterns I had found a link to through craftster, but shrunk it a lot.
If I use this pattern again, I'm not going to make it this small, it was really difficult to
keep it neat.  And I had trouble with the shoes, so I made it up as I went along.  Smiley
Edit:  He was made entirely of felt, except for the pants, they were made of some heavy
black material that I had.

Thanks for looking!
3  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Candy Corn and Dracula Candy Corn on: October 18, 2008 08:57:29 AM
I made a stuffed candy corn and a Dracula candy corn for a Halloween craft swap that is being held on a forum board that I always get on.  And I had seen MochiMart's plush candy corns (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=269182.0) and wanted to make one as well.  Mine are about 6 inches tall.  The plain candy corn was made from felt, and was hand stitched together.  The Dracula candy corn was made from a heavy black material that we had and the rest is felt, and again hand stitched together.

These were really easy and didn't take long at all to make.  I'm definately going to be making more of both because I want them and my sister wants the Dracula one!
Thanks for looking!

4  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / "One Day Robots Will Cry" on: April 30, 2008 12:36:48 PM
This is my first real post! Yay!
Anyway, I had made a while ago my own version of an UglyDoll (not this), and asked my sister, Ashley if she wanted one.  She showed me what she wanted it to look like and I started to make it.  It's a robot with a teardrop, as in Cobra Starship's song, One Day Robots Will Cry.  She's a huge Cobra fan and now I love their music too.  Here are the links for the pictures of Gabanti Jr. the Robot:
Full shot:

Close up of face (all hand stitched):

And his cape (also hand stitched):

I'd love comments on what you think of the Gabanti Jr.!  And I also recommend if you haven't heard of Cobra Starship, to look them up.  Anyways thanks for looking!!!
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Help on a jacket... on: March 27, 2008 05:15:17 PM
I really don't know if this is in the right spot, so sorry if it's not. I haven't really posted on here.  There is a jacket I want to make that I saw one of the guys of My Chemical Romance wearing.  Here's two pictures of it:

Hope they work. The thing is, I can't find a pattern even close to it and also because the zipper goes off on an angle.  Could someone help figure something out? Haha thanks everyone!
