I have finally received my package from quaggy! It sat in Jersey City for 2 days before it finally got to me. However, it was totally worth the wait! Quaggy sent me basically some of everything and I couldn't be more thankful!
Stocking kit, cross stitch kit, embroidery kit, and felt mobile kit:
The mobile kit maybe my favorite because it matches all of the handmade Christmas things we have that my mom has made. I always look forward to when we put them out each year, but I think this will just hang out in my room year-round.
Dial-a-cut, fall themed scrapbook paper, scissors, tags, and scrapbook add-ins:
Sculpey Clay and cutters:
Cards, scrapbook add-ins, and cool package of papers and fabrics:
Mini canvas with frame, mini canvas with easels, roll with paint brushes, diy wooden ornaments, glitter, diy plaster/ceramic eggs to paint, and photo cube:
Christmas-y felt, snowflake medallions kit, color pencils, chalk set, diy flag kit, embroidery floss set, and pattern set for tote bag and apron:
Quaggy- You truly outdid yourself, and I cannot possibly thank you enough! Every little item will most definitely be used and I cannot wait to start trying out some crafts and new ideas.
I received my first art piece from Smmarrt today! I love it so much! I've been wanting to play around with a quilting-type project for awhile now and haven't gotten around to it, but now I have some inspiration.
I love everybody's sock monkey's! I received from Calsters a long time ago, but have been unable to post photos of my mom's awesome sock monkey because my internet's been down due to a splice in the line in my area. I'll keep trying to post the photos though. I don't want anyone to think I've disappeared.
I've finally got the photos to upload properly!! Yay!!
Here is my mom's awesome new Sgt. Pepper's inspired sock monkey! His jacket is based off the one that Paul McCartney wore in The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's album photos.
And here is the small item Calsters sent me, a pot holder!
Thank you so much Calsters, we absolutely love the sock monkey!!
And to sdelnegro: the wrapped (red & gold wrappers) frogs & toads were handmade as well. I was super stoked to find the red & gold candy wrappers - they JUST FIT the little toads/frogs & looked so cute! I have a ton of wrapper left over & plan on making some more of the little chocolates & handing them out at the movie. (Thanks for getting me into chocolate making, btw. I've never done it before, and now I'm addicted! I bought a bunch of extra molds when I got the mice & frogs - I plan on making mustache pops later! LOL!)
Ooh, I didn't know those were homemade too! I tried one of the ice mice, and they are awesome! I've been trying to hold off on eating them until tomorrow night. And I've wanted to try chocolate making ('cause of chocolate frogs), so know I've got the perfect excuse.
A couple of pictures from the NY premiere: Rupert and Emma signing my book:
Matthew Lewis stopped signing a few people ahead of me, Daniel Radcliffe started a few people away from me in the opposite direction, and Tom Felton and Alan Rickman didn't sign near the section I was in. But it was still super awesome!!!
I finally think I've got the pictures to work so I can post the awesome stuff I received from Lrigrem!
A ton of candy: homemade Ice Mice and Peppermint Toads, along with wrapped candy/snacks (more Peppermint Toads, Chocolate Frogs, Leprachaun's Gold, and Skiving Snackboxes).
A super cool Monster Book of Monsters (filled with even more candy and snacks: Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans, a box of Lemonheads, and Dried Gillyweed (a seaweed snack)), and Lrigrem was kind enough to provide some bandaids incase of any bites from the book.
A set of Golden Snitch earrings & necklace, and a Hallows symbol necklace. I wore the earrings and Hallows necklace to the NY premiere/movie screening last night.
Also, Lrigrem sent gummy spiders, gummy penguins (I love penguins!), and a container of glow bracelets!
Thanks again soooo much Lrigrem! I love everything!!
VanGo87 and I decided on a personal swap because she had wanted some Red Vines, which aren't available where she lives, while we were both crafting for the A Very Potter Musical craft swap. My package to her is still on its way, but here is the awesome stuff she sent me!
A beautiful red and gold Gryffindor crochet drawstring bag, with red and yellow hairclips attached:
Two Canadian coin purses (the sock one's my favorite and is also a keychain):
A necklace with some Floo Powder:
A Canadian keychain and homemade ruler bookmark:
A magic towel:
Beaded earrings, three rings and bracelet, all in Gryffindor colors:
Also a Canadian bracelet:
And Canadian candy, which I have already started to eat:
I received from Skookum today, and everything is totally awesome!
Two (!) awesome drawings/paintings of Harry & Ron from the sequel with the lines "Where've you been all my life?" and "In a cupboard under some stairs."
A Voldemort marionette! His body had detached from his head at some point in the mail, but thankfully I was able to fix him. It is the coolest idea ever.
And I think this has to be my absolute favorite: a Harry doll!! I had asked for one, and Skookum made a super adorable supermegafoxyawesomehot (could not resist ) doll. He's got moveable arms and legs, and he's pretty tall!
She also included a package of Red Vines. My sister took them right away to try and create the little cowboy instructions that are on the package.
