2  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Headboard Made of Pallets on: November 27, 2011 11:13:24 AM
I love it, it's so beautiful!

My only question is does it give you splinters?  Its my experience that pallet wood can be pretty splintery... I've been super tempted by some of these pallet projects around the web, but I'm just hesitant because I've been torn apart by a pallet before. lol.

Anyhow... Awesome! Cheesy
3  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: Mario Bros. Bob-omb Costume on: November 01, 2011 05:31:40 PM
I totally love this! Such a fun idea.

Also, I love love the lava lamp idea. Too cute. Cheesy

I absolutely love this, and I probably would've died of happiness had I seen you two at any place I went. Cheesy This totally rocks.
5  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: melted crayon tree on: September 17, 2011 09:50:05 PM
Great minds think alike? lol. I made a melted crayon tree as well...  It turned out pretty good except I tried to melt flecks of orange/red/yellow/brown on top like fall leaves. Unfortunately, when I left it outside to melt on there, the crayon (Crayola even!) somehow separated leaving a white waxy film around the leaves.

I love that you did a spring tree though! Great results!
6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Silver Twig Necklaces on: September 12, 2011 11:53:43 AM
Those look neat! Did you just paint some twigs or are they metal? Also, it would be neat to see an action shot so we could tell how they hang. But awesome work, I'd wear it!

Rachel26 - I just saw your post about it! I commented on there too, but I love it! Seriously nothing makes me happier than kids being creative!

And thanks to everyone for the compliments. Cheesy

vixen72 - or really for anyone interested -

The best way to start collecting is to ask just one or two other people to! lol.
It took me about 6 months of off and on collecting to do this on my own. But since I've had requests for more, a couple of friends started collecting with me, and I almost have enough for another tree! It'll multiply really fast! And don't forget other rolls, paper towels, wrapping paper, etc.

I hung mine on clear push pins because my apartments have strict rules about hanging... the other though I had was those 3M tape hooks... the small clear ones might work well...
Also, hang it from several places for stability.
