Wow, that looks amazing!  I've made an entrelac scarf before that I love, but wasn't sure what other applications I could use for entrelac....now I want to try a hat Smiley

Good work!!

Thanks so much for the nice comments!

So the holidays are over, and all my knitted gifts were super well received.  I think the favourite from my family was either the black and white neckwarmer (after the pic in this thread was taken, I lined it with some super soft black cotton and it really improved the structure of it), and the red/grey hat.  I guess next year I'll have to make sweaters (unless they wear everything out!)!

Hope everyone's holidays were fantastic!

I love the Newfoundland mitts, it's a really easy pattern, and the mittens are soooo warm!  I'll probably be making another pair for myself soon.  I just realized that I've knit so many pairs of mittens over the last couple of years (I started knitting 2 yrs ago) and I haven't made myself a single pair!  So I'm going to get on that over the holidays for sure Smiley

Thanks for all the lovely compliments!

Thanks so much for the awesome comments!

Craftydeb - Hand knitting is fantastic, but I would love to learn to machine knit!  And I need to learn crochet too, especially since I have more stash yarn than I know what to do with...

So this year I had MANY requests from my family for hats and mittens, and so over the past few weeks I got to work and produced a few sets, here they are:

The hat is the Snowflake Hat by Jenny Kostka, and the mittens are the Newfoundland Mittens by Traditional Design.

The hat is the Lillehammer Hat by Jacquelynn Vance-Kuss, and the  mittens I designed myself to match with the hat.

The hat is designed by myself, and the mittens are the Very Cabley Mittens by Kelly Porpiglia

The hat and neckwarmer were designed by myself Smiley

I got all of the patterns listed from ravelry.

Which ones are your favourites?  I can't decide myself....I love how they all turned out Smiley

I designed this scarf a couple of months ago, and after fiddling with the pattern and a couple of test knits, it's finally ready!  I knit this in Bernat Berella...I know it's not fancy yarn, but I really like the colours and I find this yarn really easy to work with.  I came up with the design because I have seen a ton of gorgeous lace, cabled, etc designs....and I thought maybe there should be a super cool stockinette scarf design too!  Basically one say I put on a wide scarf and tied it like a tie....and thought "This could work!"...and here it is!

Comments are appreciated!
