I'm due in 2 weeks.  lol  I'd still love to join, if we can make it simple.  I'd be interested in a personal swap, too, if there's not enough ppl to get this going.

16  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / Talk About The Swap Process / Re: IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Consequences of Negative Feedback & Duplicate Accounts on: June 18, 2009 11:49:08 AM
Okay, so let's say one has all positive feedback and would like to create a new account [for the purpose of creating a new name/image], is it possible to transfer over my positive feedback from my old account before deletion?
17  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Completed Projects / Re: Yarn from my Shetland Ram on: June 17, 2009 03:33:19 PM
Wow, he looks just like our Jacob ram, minus the horns.  Cihat has almost exactly the same facial markings as Jacob, the Jacob!  Jacobs have 4-6 horns that go straight out/up, although ours has none, (not our doing!!)

No kidding about never turning your back on a ram.  I now know where they get their name.  We have a ram we thought was a female for several mos, and couldn't figure her out!  They were so over grown when we bought them.  We finally shaved her and low and behold.. she's a he!  No wonder.

So are shetlands softer or finer?  Cihat's wool looks much straighter than Jacob's.

Fantastic hat, btw.
18  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Potholders you can use! on: May 29, 2009 06:43:41 AM
What's the best fiber to use for these potholders?  Would wool work? or is cotton better (not to mention washable)?

I just got some sheep & am shearing them for the first time... so I learned the other day that wool has a REALLY high burn point.. it only starts to SMOLDER at 1000 degrees!  Crazy.  So, maybe if you use 100% wool, make it a bit big and let it felt... you've got the perfect mit.  =]

As far as the step thing, milksmom, yeaaa not sure I get it.  lol  Still cool tho.
