11  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Purple Fur????? on: January 28, 2009 01:44:02 PM
Hi,
This was originally a teeny little bag. I totally hated it, so I carefully unpicked the stitching and now I have a 8 inch high by 15 inch wide piece of fur.
I don't even know what kind of fur it is, but I know its real!

Any ideas?!!!!

(yeah it is on the toilet but it's the only place in the house with good lighting!)
12  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / Making a stencil? on: January 21, 2009 12:54:18 PM
Hi
I would like to make this image into a stencil, the background isn't included, I just want the face but i don't know how to make this into a stencil. I'm using a sheet of acetate instead of baking paper as I would like to re use it.
This is for my boyfriend for valentines, so I would really appreciate any help!!!

Heres the image!
13  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Navy Ribbon and Button Necklace! on: October 27, 2008 05:13:59 PM
Made from thin navy ribbon and a collection of blue buttons, a prezzie for me maw.
I like it but i think perhaps braiding the strands and having them kinda the same length might make it sit better.

Tell me what you guys think!
14  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Leather Skirt on: October 10, 2008 09:21:23 AM
Hi,

For our main fashion project one of my friends is going to do a leather high waisted skirt, thing is we can't decide on which kind of leather would be suitable. It has to be black and it has to be real leather! I was thinking Kid leather as it's fairly soft and light weight but can anyone suggest anything else?

Thanks!

15  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Button Necklace!!!! on: October 09, 2008 02:23:46 PM
Hi!
This is my first go at jewellery!!  I totally love buttons so it seemed like a good idea.
I used jumprings, lobster clasp, Buttons and some of the pins you thread beads on to tie bigger buttons together.
It's not as impressive as I wanted it to be, it's lacking something.
I'm also frightened of the jump rings opening and the whole thing falling apart!
Still some bigger buttons to add but it's almost complete.
Pictures!!

I'd like to hear what you guys think!
cheers

17  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / tips and techniques? on: September 29, 2008 02:51:21 PM
Hi to all

I'm wondering if there are any videos or picture step by step guides to creating the free burda patterns?
I'm a total novice and reading instructions doesn't work for me, i need to be shown how to do it.
Does anyone know if there are any sites that might be useful?
Are any of you wonderful people willing to help?
I would like to create an archive to my blog with either a few videos per garment or a clear and concise step by step photo guide for each garment.

Calling All Craftsters!
Excited!!!!

for halloween. Whats your opinions? I have an idea about the wig also, buying floristry foam and pinning all the hair up and spray painting the white lighting strike. Also for the arms painting white stockings to look like bandages.....what do you guys think?
Any other suggestions for costumes based on the dress?
Thanks for any comments or suggestions
