I'd like to echo the 'wow' sentiment. Your work is incredible!

I have to ask -- where did you get that amazing bird fabric?? Thanks!  Grin

I've been following this thread for quite a while, and now I get to finally throw my hat in the ring! My boytoy proposed a few weeks ago, and we're planning on a sunset lakeside wedding in Canada, eh, September 2008.

Here's my to do list:
- save the dates
- booklet invitations and rsvp cards
- bouquets
- boutionniers
- cake topper (teeny tiny muskoka chairs)
- cookie / candy table (as an alternative to cake)
- screenprinted out of town bags
- coordinating clutch purses for my bridesmaids
and the biggie...
- my wedding dress! I'll save you my rant on wedding dresses being ridic expensive for what they are, and just go with my second reason, which is that it will be an incredibly personal addition to the day. I've been sewing for years, so I know I'll be technically able to do it... still a little scary, though. Smiley

My mom - who taught me everything I know about sewing - is going to be helping me make bridesmaid dresses.

Instead of a guest book, we're asking guests to draw a loon on the back of their RSVP card to display at the reception.

My only problem with planning so far is that I have enough ideas for at least a dozen weddings! I'm trying very hard to consolodate it into only one.  Cheesy

Good luck to all the other crafty brides here... and thanks for all the inspiration!!

Wow, I am so bookmarking this thread!  Shocked

I just got engaged this past Sunday, but we agreed early on about having a small, low(er) budget wedding.

Craftsters to the rescue! I think there are more great $$ saving ideas in this thread than any of the web sites I've found. Thanks, ladies and gents!

Not to change the subject, but *MAR*, where did you get your lovely cake topper? It's by far the most awesome one I've seen.  Grin

mattchu09, having graduated from dear 'ol State less than two years ago, this impressive display of PSU creativity and ingenuity nearly brought a tear to my eye.

I wanna play pong at *your* house!  Grin

Awesome! I, for one, would love a pattern, if you don't mind.

Hee hee hee... I should probably tell my IRL twin sister! Perhaps you're our long-lost triplet?

Marci, I've been lurking in this thread for a while, but I had to bust out with 'WOW!!!' Yours is pretty much a dream wedding, I think.  Cheesy

Might I ask where you got the green hydrangeas? I'm trying to find some myself, and Im having a terrible time.
189  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Screen Printing: Completed Projects / Re: onesies! (lots of pics) on: July 26, 2007 11:34:34 AM
anitsirk, these are awesome!

Might i ask which screenprinting 'technique' you are using? Gocco, embroidery hoop, or something more commercial? Screenprinting is something I've always wanted to do, but it terrifies me. You make it look easy!

Thanks in advance for any help or advice you can provide!  Wink

I think I always knew deep in my heart that needlepoint is cool.

Thanks for proving me right!
