hey this is my first time at making jewelry at all lol. But I had some bottlecaps lying around from my hubby and was like lets see what I could make out of these. My husband thought I was crazy hammering like a mad women lol. Hey I had fun gettin all my frustration out lol.
Its was hard to get the caps flat without denting but in certain spots you see little mistakes.But I still like the end result and I will just keep makin more.  
Any suggestions or comments would be great . Thanks for checkin it out!

Well I just made another bag. I love upcycling and its great to reuse what you already have and no spend a dime lol.
With this bag I used an old button snap shirt. It was a little difficult sewing close to the buttons but I did pretty well I think. The other fabric I used for the side, straps and bottom was a corduroy materail off course from pants lol. I really engoyed working with that material because it was so durable to work with.
The inside for the liner was black and I added a pocket to the inside.

The other bag with the monkey is from a t-shirt I loved so much but didn't fit me anymore. I love monkeys.  
I used old jeans for the sides and for the straps.

hey nice job on the tote bag.I like how you used different types of pants to make the tote. Its so fun when you can take some old pair of jeans and make something cool from them. I love making bags and I especially love upcycling clothing.  

Wow never would have thought of this idea way to go. I love the fabric you choose too, the colors go very nicedly together. great versatility too. Great idea using the bags as gifts for teacher I need to try that one because last yr I used a basket but it still didn't feel to personal. Thanks for the idea!
 

wow awsome job on the bags. I bet it took you a pretty long time to do them. Isn't it great when you can take something old and make it new again by giving it new life.

I especially love the kermit bag. I need to rummage so more through the bins at the thrift store to find some awsome finds like those cool shirts you used for the bags.

Thank you I actually used only the denim for the bottom of the bag the hearts and the straps. I used an old shirt that had a woven material but it does look denim if you look at it too lol.

Well I'm actually working on a new bag at this moment so stay posted for it!

Ok so On my day off decided to pull out my trusty sewing machine and get started. I had some old clothes that I had been collecting for a project like this. So I got to work and cut up my old jeans that didn't fit anymore and my mom had dropped off a bag of clothes that I could use. found a shirt I could use for it. The lining was from prexisting fabric I had lying around and here's the outcome. I really like it a lot. Its been awhile  since I got back into sewing.So  let me know what you think.
I was thinking about starting a etsy store but I'm not sure yet. We will see.

Adorable!The dress pattern is so cute I love that you can find such good finds at a thrift store. I like that its easy enough to make and that she could move around in it. So wanting to make my daughters ones.
