Yes, her name is Rylie.  Good thing it was something long like Anastasia!  Hee hee!
2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Stuffed alphabet block for my precious niece! on: August 21, 2010 05:43:17 AM
I actually finished a project, not on time, but at least finished!  I wanted to have this alphabet block by the time my best friend gave birth in May 2008.  I finished it a few months late...Oh, well!  It actually ended up working out because I was able to put a picture of her daughter & dog on the block (and of course, I made it seem like that was the plan all along).  And you may be thinking, 2008?!  It took me this long to figure out/remember how to post pictures/messages & then muster up the energy to do it.  Okay, on to the pics!

It doesn't really look like a block-I know, more like a blob.  But at least the procrastinator finally finished a project!  C&c would be appreciated.  Have a lovely day!

HOLY MOLY!  I love your work!  It is simply amazing.  I love the Lady Ought design, but I am truly in love with the Lola necklace.  In fact, my neck is aching because it is longing to have this necklace about it!  I can't wait to see what else you come up with.
6  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Re: Need help please with favors for a celebrity themed baby shower! on: January 27, 2008 07:18:20 PM
Thank you, RainyLakeChick!  Your celebrity baby game is beautiful with all of the pictures and I love the idea of making the party like a red carpet premiere.  Thank you everyone for all of the great ideas.  Now I have to actually start working on everything.  Yikes!

I LOVE both of your suggestions!  If I do the photo booth, then I can give them frames as their favors & print out the picture right there for them to put in the frames!  But I also want to do the disposable cameras, too!  Or the tins...So many decisions now!  It's good to have choices...

Thanks you guys!!!
8  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Re: Gift or Card Ideas For Parents Who Lost Their Child? on: January 18, 2008 02:59:56 AM
That is very tough.  And so very sad.  Cry

For the family, the best thing would be to make a bunch of meals & pack them in tupperware containers that they can freeze.  Although the parents probably won't be hungry, their other daughter still needs to eat & I'm sure it would be a relief for them to not have to cook.  If you could help them around the house like with laundy & stuff that would be great.  I am sure that right now they don't want to deal with all of those daily hassles & chores.

I think it would also be nice to make things with the baby's picture.  They have fabric that you can print on.  I don't know if you sew but if you do, you could print a picture of the baby on the fabric & sew it onto a blanket (you know, like in the movie "Stepmom" where Susan Sarandon makes the blanket for her daughter with all of the pictures).

I'll try to come up with other things and get back to you, but that's all I can think of right now.  In the meantime, I'll be praying for them.
9  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Need help please with favors for a celebrity themed baby shower! on: January 18, 2008 02:40:31 AM
I hope someone can help me!

My best friend is having her first baby Cheesy and I am planning a shower for her (talk about PRESSURE)!  She is pretty obsessed with celebrity gossip & I thought it would be fun to throw her a shower with a celebrity theme where we treat her like the superstar that she is.

I plan to make the invites like mini magazines with a picture of her on it speculating if she has a "baby bump".  And then inside the mini-mag saying that "Yes, it's confirmed!  She's expecting..."  Oh, and her name is Eileen & her hub's name is Ryan.  So you know how the tabloids do that combining-name-thing like Brangelina & Bennifer?  Theirs is going to be Ryleen!

What I REALLY need help with is coming up with a favor that is unique and goes with the theme.  I can't think of anything!  If you guys can, PLEASE help! Huh I would so greatly appreciate it.
10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Can RED DYE Make The Most BEAUTIFUL Dress Ever? on: August 23, 2007 01:54:19 AM
Okay, I found a picture of the dress (granted, not a very good one), but I have no idea how to go about making the dress.

This is the link to the pic:

I hope it helps!
