This morning at sunrise, we were engaged and the ring has made its way from a little idea to my finger!
We went with a jeweler that a fellow craftster suggested we use. She was something else. She'd be out of touch for weeks at a time, would forget major requests about the ring (i.e. hammered or not, number of stones, etc.), and made it in a couple days and sent it before making sure that we liked it..so, lesson learned, but overall we like it. A friend plated it with rhodium (it is 18k white gold, so didn't look quite light enough) and it looks much better now than it did. We'll likely have someone else work on it, but I thought I'd post it to see what you all thought!
It is supposed to look like twigs cradling two rough (unfaceted) sapphires. What do you all think? If we get it worked on any suggestions? Thanks, ladies (and gents). I love the community here!
Hopefully these pics will work!
