21  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Who? Hat--First Cable Experience on: December 31, 2009 09:16:42 AM
I got a new coat this winter and decided I needed a hat to match, so I searched Ravelry and found this pattern: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/who-2 and fell in love with it. I was a bit intimidated because I've only been knitting for a few months, but I decided to try it. I figured if it turned out bad, I'd frog it.

But I'm in love with it! It was such an easy knit, and it turned out so well. I used Cascade 220 wool, which I loved working with.

And me in the hat:

I got a bit impatient and started decreasing before I should've. I might make another one in a bit bigger size.

Thanks for looking! C/C appreciated!

Thank you, TrampyCouture, for pointing out this swap to me! I'm pretty sure I'll be signing up.

Here's my Tubby Buddy. We joke that he's a linebacker dachshund, part doxie, part basset:

Here are both my boys together...

I claim StephanieGravatt for a surprise sort of blanket.

This is my first claim this round.
My name is Sarah, and I'm a high school English teacher from Illinois. I'm happily married for going on two years, and we have two dogs, one a dachshund mix and the other a mutt. I love reading, running, biking, and crafting. I embroider, sew, crochet, and make jewelry. I'm very eclectic, but looking at my wists should give you an idea of what I like. I love surprises and am addicted to crafting supplies.

I'm wondering if my hubby will kill me if I do MAF again. He said no more swaps, but I don't think this one counts, as it's more of a social engagement than a swap, right?
27  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Random Swap Round 2 - Signups CLOSED - Send date November 6 (extension) on: October 30, 2009 11:19:18 PM
I'm really excited for the extension. I've had the flu like it's nobody's business, and I don't want to send germies with my package. (Is that even possible?) There were a few days I felt so awful I couldn't even watch tv, let alone craft. I'm feeling so much better now, and I've got some kick ass crafts going and a pretty rocking how-to kit.

I hope everyone else is staying healthy!!

Really considering signing up. I have a ridiculous love of anything Seuss.
29  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Random Swap Round 2 - Signups CLOSED - Send November 1 on: October 04, 2009 07:18:19 AM
I'm alive. I swear!! I have to get through this week, then I'm all about crafting. I'm our school's Student Council advisor, and it's Homecoming Week (read: I'm at the school until at least 10 p.m. every night this week).

Okay people, we'll be posting the partners soon.  The group will be broken up into two, so please check the list to see who you will be reporting to, me or AQ.  Please CC all communications to both organizers though, so we can stay on top of things if one of us should suddenly win a billion dollars and run away to Fiji, or get hit by a bus, whatever.

Thanks for letting me in (and sorry I broke up the three-way)!! And thanks for getting everyone paired up!
