I'm on vacation right now, but my packages are sent and all that jazz. If you don't hear from me, that's why.  Grin

wow.  just glanced at the first page of my partner's wists and i have about a dozen projects in mind.  what were the rules on over-crafting again?
i'm going to have some major decision making to do.  off to stalk some more!

I'm in the same boat! I've just stalked your wists, and I'm having a tough time deciding what to make. I'm entirely too inspired.

I sent today. I really did intend to go this weekend, but with the nasty storms and ridiculous heat, I didn't want to leave the comfort of my living room. Buuuuut, I ventured out today. Frizzed up my hair and sent my packages.

I seriously can't wait for partners. I'm getting so antsy.

Took a break from Gilmore Girls marathon to send in my questionnaire.
16  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: FOC Wist Swap! on: June 16, 2010 08:43:13 AM
I'm thinking I might have to join this one. I've taken a swap hiatus (and been inundated with sweater knitting), but this will give me an excuse to take a break from the sweaters.

Just realized I never posted in the thread either. I've got my partners' info, and I've got some supplies set out and ready to go. Trip to the craft store early next week, and sending by next weekend, I believe.
18  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Re: Anyone Interested in 50 Projects 2010? on: January 01, 2010 12:53:01 PM
I'm in. I'm casting on my first project right now. A friend saw the Who? Hat (http://www.ravelry.com/projects/gtg/who) I made for myself and requested one, so I'm making him one. I hope to finish it today.

My second project of the year will be a sweater for myself. I've got the yarn, needles and pattern picked out http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/plain-and-simple-pullover.
19  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / A Hat Fit for a Husband on: January 01, 2010 12:36:32 PM
I made myself a hat to go with my new coat, and my husband decided he wanted a hat as well, but something manly. So, I headed over to Ravelry and found the pattern A Hat Fit for a Boyfriend: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/a-hat-fit-for-a-boyfriend . I had some black Cascade 220 Wool in my stash that I used (because the hubbs said the green yarn I wanted to use wasn't manly enough). Knit on US 8 circulars, I CO 10 extra sts. just so it wouldn't be too tight and give him hat hair.

The hubbs wouldn't stop playing computer games long enough to let me get a good picture.

The decreasing ribs:

Ignore the dog hair...two dogs and black wool don't mix.

C/C welcome
20  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Who? Hat--First Cable Experience on: December 31, 2009 05:47:58 PM
I was nervous to knit in the round and to do cables, but with the help of YouTube and a crafty friend who knits, I was fine. I know the woman at my LYS offered to help with the cables if I needed it. If you have any problems, you might want to try a craft place of some sort. They'd probably be happy to help.  Grin

But definitely try!!

And thank you so much for the comments!
