I found this pattern (http://creativeyarn.blogspot.com/2008/08/white-flower-necklace.html) a while ago and knew I had to make it.

I used Sugar 'n Cream, but I think next time, I'll use something different. I made it for my partner in the Make-a-friend, Round 3 swap. I'm definitely going to make one for myself sometime soon.

I really love the way it hangs, and I think it would look super-cute with a little cotton dress and cardi. I'll definitely be posting more as I make them.

Okay, thanks again to bookworm 7155 for the awesome package!! She sent me the awesomest placemats for my kitchen. My hubby doesn't often get excited about swap packages, but even he was excited for these.

I took pictures this morning. I was hoping to get them all out on the table on display, but my hubby and FIL just replaced the wiring and the light in the kitchen, so the microwave is still on the kitchen table (don't ask). So, I took pictures of them one at a time. Please ignore the mess that is my kitchen right now.

I took a lot of pictures (there were six placemats!!), so I'll do a combo of big pictures and thumbnails.

Ugh. Technology. For the longest time I thought the batteries in my digital camera needed charged, so I've been trying to find my charger. Found the charger...it's not the batteries. I finally got a new digital camera for the big V.D., so I'll post this afternoon.

Necklaces a'la Asphalt Queen!! I love them! I'm sorry it's taken me so long to upload the pictures. I got caught up in the holidays, then my hubby and I left on vacation. I've gotten so many compliments on both necklaces both at home and here on vacation (and I've been wearing one or the other nearly every day).

It's so clear how much time you put into this package, and I appreciate it so much!! I didn't get a picture of the yarn, but it's so incredibly soft. I made my husband feel it about a hundred times.

I made a jacket for a friend's dog as a Christmas present. He just got a hair cut, and she's going to be bringing him to Wisconsin for the holidays. I didn't want him to freeze his tail off, so I made him a little fleece coat. It was really easy to make...maybe 30 minutes from cutting to snipping the last of the threads off.

Here's one of my babies modeling it. It was made for a dog smaller than mine.



I used a leopard print fleece and a black fleece, and it's reversible. I've got more fleece leftover from other projects, so I'm planning on making more in my dogs' sizes.

Recently I did the Sublime Stitching Swap, and I wanted to do something other than teatowels. I just started stitching the Craftopia patterns on some scrap fabric I had, not having any clue what I was going to do with them. I happened to be walking through Target one day and found silver notecards that I realized would look great with the scrap fabric, thus the crafty cards were born:

This one is by far my favorite!!


I used metallic floss for the first time on these. It didn't give me a hard time at all.


I really like this one too.


And the sewing machine.


I used mostly backstitch, with satin stitch, stem stitch and split stitch. The only thing I'd do differently next time is put the interfacing on the fabric before embroidering, as when I put on the interfacing, the stitches got squished. But since I didn't know what I was making when I first started stitching, I didn't know I'd need interfacing.
