iheartzb sent me an awesome package! She took ideas from my wists, and everything is so obviously me!! Forgive the not-as-fantastic pictures. The camera is dying, and I was too impatient to wait for pictures.

The whole kit 'n caboodle.

The little birdie tea towels. The beads were such a cute touch!!

The thinking piece. It's in a hoop right now, but I think I'm going to make it into a throw pillow once we finish painting our living room.

Seriously, this thing is awesome!!

And gratuitous dog shots. They loved the treats they received!!

Okay. I totally thought I posted pictures. Apparently I'm losing my mind. I'm so sorry, RangerBeth. I'll do it this evening.

Edit: Photos!!

The button necklace:

One side of the slide charm

The other...

The book

The jewelry card kit

The supplies and gummi bear earrings

So I can make my own slide necklace

23  Feeling girly...a crocheted necklace in Crochet: Completed Projects by goodtimegirl on: March 29, 2009 06:40:20 AM
I found this pattern (http://creativeyarn.blogspot.com/2008/08/white-flower-necklace.html) a while ago and knew I had to make it.

I used Sugar 'n Cream, but I think next time, I'll use something different. I made it for my partner in the Make-a-friend, Round 3 swap. I'm definitely going to make one for myself sometime soon.

Here it is on me. Please, ignore the yellow shirt. I just happened to be wearing something that didn't match at all.

I really love the way it hangs, and I think it would look super-cute with a little cotton dress and cardi. I'll definitely be posting more as I make them.

I'd love any questions, comments or critiques you all have.

Okay, thanks again to bookworm 7155 for the awesome package!! She sent me the awesomest placemats for my kitchen. My hubby doesn't often get excited about swap packages, but even he was excited for these.

I took pictures this morning. I was hoping to get them all out on the table on display, but my hubby and FIL just replaced the wiring and the light in the kitchen, so the microwave is still on the kitchen table (don't ask). So, I took pictures of them one at a time. Please ignore the mess that is my kitchen right now.

I took a lot of pictures (there were six placemats!!), so I'll do a combo of big pictures and thumbnails.

The back fabric and border of the previous one.

Back fabric and border.

Back fabric. (It gets a big picture because it's going to be my placemat...)

Or maybe this one will...

Actually, I think I'll just have to have a new placemat every night because I really do love them all!

Thanks, bookworm, for being such an awesome swap partner!! I'm sooooo glad we were paired up!!

Close-ups of the images on the bag. Such perfect stitches.

Such a clever idea.

I love shoes. This now has a place on my desk!!

Thanks so much for the awesome package!!

Ugh. Technology. For the longest time I thought the batteries in my digital camera needed charged, so I've been trying to find my charger. Found the charger...it's not the batteries. I finally got a new digital camera for the big V.D., so I'll post this afternoon.

Okay...pictures of my package from bookworm7155.

The coolest owl notebook. It's inspired me to write daily since I received.

An ornament, a CD of her favorite music (which I've been enjoying), and postcards of her hometown. There was also candy in the package, but of course I chowed down on that...

It was such a cool package! Her hometown seems like a really neat place.

Those t's are awesome!! Great job!!

Finally home from vacation (and it's well over 40 degrees colder here...blah!!), so I have my crafty memory card. I also had a package waiting for me on the porch (Awesome!).

Here's paper-y goodness from bhean (from before I left--sorry, didn't have my memory card on vacation):

This book is so cute!:

Playing cards with martinis on them...I already have plans for these guys:

And from Laural, who was an AWESOME angel!!

Beautiful yarn:

The fabric (so me!):

The whole package together with the double-pointed needles:

Thank you both sooo much!

Necklaces a'la Asphalt Queen!! I love them! I'm sorry it's taken me so long to upload the pictures. I got caught up in the holidays, then my hubby and I left on vacation. I've gotten so many compliments on both necklaces both at home and here on vacation (and I've been wearing one or the other nearly every day).

The box (which was so cute and so professional):

The birds--so my style!!:

The steampunk--I love it!!:

It's so clear how much time you put into this package, and I appreciate it so much!! I didn't get a picture of the yarn, but it's so incredibly soft. I made my husband feel it about a hundred times.

Thank you so much!!

29  Jacket for a Sassy Pooch in Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects by goodtimegirl on: December 26, 2008 02:06:58 PM
I made a jacket for a friend's dog as a Christmas present. He just got a hair cut, and she's going to be bringing him to Wisconsin for the holidays. I didn't want him to freeze his tail off, so I made him a little fleece coat. It was really easy to make...maybe 30 minutes from cutting to snipping the last of the threads off.

Here's one of my babies modeling it. It was made for a dog smaller than mine.

I used a leopard print fleece and a black fleece, and it's reversible. I've got more fleece leftover from other projects, so I'm planning on making more in my dogs' sizes.

30  Sublime Stitching Notecards in Sublime Stitching Embroidery by goodtimegirl on: December 16, 2008 04:13:01 AM
Recently I did the Sublime Stitching Swap, and I wanted to do something other than teatowels. I just started stitching the Craftopia patterns on some scrap fabric I had, not having any clue what I was going to do with them. I happened to be walking through Target one day and found silver notecards that I realized would look great with the scrap fabric, thus the crafty cards were born:

This one is by far my favorite!!

I used metallic floss for the first time on these. It didn't give me a hard time at all.

I really like this one too.

And the sewing machine.

I used mostly backstitch, with satin stitch, stem stitch and split stitch. The only thing I'd do differently next time is put the interfacing on the fabric before embroidering, as when I put on the interfacing, the stitches got squished. But since I didn't know what I was making when I first started stitching, I didn't know I'd need interfacing.

Thanks for looking!! Comments and criticisms welcome!!
