1  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / Frustrated - Help please on: September 19, 2007 09:26:31 AM
I've done a few stencils now and my problem is always the same...

When I take the freezer paper off it leaves little parts of it that then don't WANT to come off and make the whole thing look goopy.

Am I leaving the paper on too long? Not long enough? Any ideas?

I'm finally showing progress at cutting out the stencils more cleanly but you'd sure never know it.

I know I can master this but I need help!!

I'm sorry - I so wish I knew how to just imbed photos here - but this is my very first stencilling project. Simply Spray Stencil Spray was hard for me to work with and control, I think I'll use sponges next time, but I was very tickled with these first efforts.
3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / First project - red checked clutch bag and wallet - duct tape! on: September 16, 2007 05:20:26 PM
I've been looking and looking on this site for a couple of months and this is my very first project! A red checked clutch style bag and a red wallet with coin section and credit card holders - entirely made from duct tape.

My family thought I was crazy - I am not a "cool" young adult but a 40-something grandma that can't stand to pay boutique proces for trendy beautiful things.

Several flaws, a lot of lessons learned, but I wanted to share and thank everyone for their brilliant and creative inspirations!
