1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: FOC Second Chance Wishlist Round 2 Gallery! on: March 04, 2011 10:28:32 PM
Hooray!!! I'm so glad you received Rousseline!  I've been DYING to make a quilt using all that fabric together but couldn't think of what I needed to make one for!  It did end up bigger than I had planned, but I just kept adding and adding to it  Grin  So happy you liked everything and I could redeem some feedback even with the little bumps I had along the way getting that to you.  I apologize for any flaws the quilt has (including the infamous purple seam I keep bringing up), making a quilt in 2 weeks is not something I've ever done before, let alone making it with only a serger and no regular machine!  Oh, and there were supposed to be 18 fat quarters but my daughter picked one that she liked and cried everytime I tried to put it in the box Roll Eyes  I think I'll have to use it to make her a new pillowcase!

Absolutely gorgeous!  I am in awe of your quilting ability!!  They are so much fun to look at and give beginners like me some sort of future goal... way way in the future!
3  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Newborn/baby swap interest? on: January 25, 2009 10:02:52 PM
I'd totally be interested in this swap!  I haven't swapped in a while but I blame it on being nearly 20 wks pregnant and still having morning sickness...  I'm due June 19 and if this nausea is going to stick around the whole time, June can't come fast enough!
4  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: large quanity of flag fabric and sequined trims on: January 04, 2009 08:47:25 PM
I bet a local color guard would be really happy to get some. Color guard flags cost an arm and a leg. (Thank goodness I'm in the band, right?)

Yay color guard!  A local guard may very well love to help you out with reducing your stash if they still use nylon for flags.  I'm a director of a color guard but our flags are all polyester china silk or actual china silk.... Still, if you decide to sell some of it contact your local high school!
5  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: A teacher swap? on: November 04, 2008 10:15:59 AM
I'd definitely be interested in a teacher geared swap!  I'm in school right now for Secondary English Education too!  I also teach preschool right now to get myself through school, so I get to deal with the entire age spectrum (yet the maturity level seems about the same throughout some days! lol)  I would love to participate in a swap like this.

I have cards!!! A few actually... so if your's hasn't been posted I may have it!
I am taking them to work tomorrow to scan them since my camera cord is nowhere to be found.

The Sad Mail Story:

We had major issues with the mailboxes being broken into in our neighborhood but for some reason I wasn't getting much mail when I went to the Post Office to pick it up.  I did some investigating this week and it turns out there is someone with a very similar name to mine in my complex and our mail was a little mixed up!  (His name is Shaun Hedges, Mine is Shauna Hodges and our addresses are only one digit different!   Lips sealed)  Thankfully, I have now met my neighbor and we will deal with the mail ourselves rather than go through our post office to sort things out.  The Silver Lining - his wife rivals my random craft supply collection! (gasp!!)
7  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Jar of Mini Whimsies Round 2! (Signups June 10th-June 20th, Sendouts by July on: June 19, 2008 06:13:54 PM
I just signed up for this swap and I'm super excited!  Working at a preschool gives me lots of ideas for whimsies, kids love anything that can fit in their little kid sized pockets and we've got lots of it laying around... I can't wait to get a partner, but I've definitely already started a little stockpile of whimsies!

I've received another:

I desperately want friends, but I had such crappy ones growing up that I don't give anyone new a chance.

Ok, I've pretty much just started to receive due to a break-in at our apt. mailboxes.  Until they are done redoing all the locks, I have to pick up mail from the post office in my neighborhood with an ID...  the PO is open from 9am to 5pm...  I work from 8:30am to 5:30pm.  So, we only get mail when my husband goes on his lunch break.  This seems to take the equivalent energy of asking him to cure world hunger  Wink  lol  ANYWAY... Here's what I've gotten!!

I hate how she sings

Most of the time (ok all of it) I think I'm smarter than anyone I know

He proposed to me while he was high on pot.

The first one I can relate to a bit, only because I think there are some way famous singers who should not be  Tongue

To Smarter - Don't worry, you're not alone.

The last one I really can't relate to, but I wonder how that turned out...
