The handprint/artwork hankie kiddo and I made for hubby for his birthday was such a hit that we decided to use that idea to make something for his nana (my mom) for her birthday today. Two of her favorite colors are purple and green, so I was stoked when I found the purple and green ribbon (that's glued around the hoop and used for the hangar) in my stash. This was fun and quick to stitch, and she's going to love it.
Oh, if you read the piece from left to right, it reads "I Love You" -- the eye = "I", the hearts inside the handprint = "love", and the U-shaped smile of the smiley face just to the right of the handprint = "you"
-- kiddo is always creative that way
