1  Re: Paper Crafts Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Acarpous on: March 30, 2009 08:37:10 AM
I received from VelvetRose today, woo hoo!  Grin

I said in my questionnaire that I especially loved vintage things and that's just what I got!

Here's what was in my parcel:

1. Folder covered in vintage dress pattern advertisements
2. Photo album / blank book made from lovely old-looking papers
3. Mini notepad to match the folder!
4. Old dog stamp magnet! My two favourite things, vintage and dogs!
5. Loads of useful cutouts in the same paper as the album

Thank you so much to VelvetRose for my excellent package - I've put everything to use already! xx

I received from Tazzell! And oh my, did she spoil me!  Grin

First up were these gorgeous stencilled shirts with dogs (I love dogs!) and one of my favourite, favourite men in the whole world, Stephen Fry!

Then there were the exceptionally cosy gauntlets! I've been after a pair of these forever and now I finally have some! I worse them out in the snow to the shops this morning and they're lovely and warm.

Stencilled notecards and envelopes! More fabulous Fry goodness! *swoon*

And last but not least, something to start me off learning crochet! She also sent me a copy of The Liar by Stephen, and I'd planned to take that and the crochet things to the beach today and sit in a deckchair with them - ha! Snow in April indeed!

Thank you to Tazzell for being a brilliant (and generous!) swap partner! xxx

Hope everyone's having a fabulous holiday time!   Grin

I finally got a working lead for my camera, so here are all the pages I've had so far:

They're gorgeous and I love them all, thanks to everybody!

Firstly - my package from Debbie arrived today.

Secondly - eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!

I meant to get a photo of the box but I was so excited that I'd already ripped into it before I remembered! So here goes:

A perfect little black bag! Seriously, this is just the right size for me and all my stuff, and it was filled with excellent sweeties (which I've already started on, heh!) and finished with a gorgeous brooch.

Next up, nipple tassels! Of course! I love love love love these, such a surprise as I am sure I didn't say in my questionnaire that I regularly go to the kind of place when I where such a thing! I have obviously been very thoroughly stalked!  Cheesy I shall wear them out later this month and report back all the compliments I get!

Last but not least, another spectacular feat of mindreading, a kind of bracelet that I have been lusting over on Etsy and in these forums for months, in my favourite colours too! I'm wearing it right now, grinning and jangling:

Debbie also put a copy of Bust in with the package, which was so thoughtful as I love it and can't get it here in the UK. I'm so lucky to have had such a fabulous swapper!

6  My first stuffie! in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Acarpous on: July 15, 2007 11:59:57 AM
Looking a bit startled and wide-eyed at being brought into the world, but with plenty of love to give!

Very basic but I'm quite pleased with how it turned out, especially as I sew like an elephant in mittens.
