This is probably the most amazing thing that I have seen! The way you are able to tell me and everyone else such an amazing story through your hats alone is beautiful, not to mention the explanation you gave at the beginning which was just as touching.
2  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / OMG SEWING MACHINE on: May 21, 2008 08:54:22 PM
Ok, for those of you who are taking the time out of your day to look at my post...
Thank you.

Now that Im done sucking up I need to know what the best sewing machine is when it
comes to sewing garments such as shirts, making sweaters, and sewing denim (possibly).
I used to use my grandma's desk sewing machine which worked really well until my dad
tried to zig-zag with a zipper foot.
So if you could let me know it would be greatly appreciated.

You could do something with fabric paint.
have them design their own t-shirts.  I think they would enjoy that

I am using my own pattern taking from a long sleeve shirt.  I made it a little bigger than i wanted for seem allowance. The sleeve is a set in sleeve and it bunches into the armpit when someone puts it on. It feels like wearing six layers of t-shirts right there. and it is worse on the body then on the sleeve itself.

help?  Grin

How do you keep the sleeves
from bunching up under the
armpits? I have the hardest time with this part.
Any suggestions would be wonderful!

Thanks  Grin
