Wow! I have sewn for almost 5 years now and have yet to attempt using knit fabric. Good for you and good job!

I used this pattern last year to make my daughter a dress. Boy was it huge on her! I put it on her this year and it is still big. I used size 1. Here is a pic.

awww!  My stepdaughter is 8, but not the really girly type.  And the other one is a boy!  wahh!!  Cry Cry Cry  I want to have a tutu party!

Photos are beautiful.  Looks like you 'printed' the photo image right along with the invite if I am not mistaken.  On a home printer? If so, what paper did you use?  I really love the layered effect with the text!

Thank you. I made the whole invitation using photoshop.  I just need to go get them printed(regular photo prints) and then I will attatch them to a 5x7 cardstock.

Just for fun here is what the invite looks like minus the wording:

Thanks everyone! That park bench is at a local park but actually holds a lot of memories for my family. They used to have them in our downtown park where my grandma and mom used to go and are at least 60 years old. They moved them to a park near our home and I always wanted to photograph using them.
I sure do hope I have enough time to make those tutus!

Not this munchkin!..I made this tutu so my daughter could take some photos for her invites for her ballerina theme. I am actually going to make about 20 of these suckers so that the girls that are coming to the party can wear. Thats alot of tulle!

Seeing as this area is for sewing kids clothing, I assumed that we would be sticking to kids costumes. I'm not trying to be a poo or anything, but there is a Halloween section for Halloween costumes. Just my 2 cents.

I just threw that picture in because it went with the theme but whatever.

Anyways, glad everyone is adding to this post. I love some of the ideas in here. The Qtip made me lol.

i don't think she meant you. there was a person who posed a pic of her self in a sexy pose in an inappropriate costume for this thread.
Missed that one, thanks for clarifing.

The smurfs idea would be awsome. But I am too tall to be a smurfette. And I dont know if my husband would go for that anymore, even though while we where dating I conviced him to be Buckwheat of the Little Rascals but everyone though he was a troll. LOL!
