tried and true super simple patterns out there?

It's an image decoupaged on a wooden disc, then the disc was covered in some kind of lacquer to be very shiny.  Well, in the extreme heat the lacquer stuck to the packaging and now there are bumps and ridges in the beautiful pendant.  Can I re-lacquer it back to beauty or will something else work better to conceal the imperfections and shine it up again?

Hi!  I'm relatively new to sewing (took it in hs, my mom was an avid seamstress when I was growing up) and I can spend hours upon hours here.  I'm living in Arizona with my husband and almost 9 yr old son, and I teach 5th grade.

I did a search and found several crochet or knitted ideas, but I need to sew something.  I need to make a tissue pocket, inhaler cover, and something else matchy before I burst!
