Does anyone have a skein of lace, fingering, or dk weight mohair (or other fuzzy yarn) in black they'd like to part with?

I have some fingering dark blue. I can put it in my shop

i just recieved the hat for my son! thank you! love it! hubby was a stinker and actually put it on lol i took a pic of hubby in it on my tablet, hoping i can upload it at some point bc it is funny. awsome! so happy about your progress on the second hat! Smiley cant wait to see what it looks like!
I would love to see that picture! lol

The hat part is almost done, just need to knit/attach the beard. I found the perfect color yarn for it

cool buttons! you could still paint the burned ones, couldn't you?
when i did metalic sculpy stuff i used loose pigment befor they were baked so i didn't have to paint them after. just a spritz of sealent so the color didn't rub off. i think i have some in my stash ifnyou are interested.

here is a hat progress shot too

loud, hmm i do not know about thickness bc i do not knit, do you think it is too thick? maybe it sais in the pattern? whatever you think will work and look nice is fine with me. if skintone (peach) is not available, i will just have to make due with whatever you can find. i am sure my husband will apreciate the work you put into making his hat! and son as well!

sorry i havent been talking alot. i havent been feeling well since i ran out of musinex. seems it is coming back, have a massive headache and the cough is getting worse. i got some packages today. i will msg about them tomorrow and the organizer. i just feel too crappy to do it right now. i love the packages that came!

i really need to get some restm hopefully will feel better tomorrow, i have so much to do and haven't been able to feeling like this. i may have to just cave and go to the doctors.

well i will talk to you all later. hopefully

the yarns are all the same weight (what is called for in the pattern) except for the dark brown that I found for your son's hat. It would make a really thick, puffy beard if you want that, or I can just do the regular brown and have it be more flat.

I stayed up past my bedtime knitting the helm for your son though! What a blast! I picked up stitches for the nose bar and can start on the beard today. It should be ready this weekend Smiley

My husband is going out of town and I have been too tired to MOVE these days, so knitting and spinning are the only things I am up for really.

here is a picture of it in progress:

the tan/skin yarn is less of a pinky skintone and more of an olive skintone. It's not unrealistic, "skintone" just is so vague and covers such a broad spectrum. I am pretty darn pale and pink compared to MOST people's skin Cheesy

My husband says it passes the test but he is more olive/tan than I am.

SUPER cool bug!

claimed by squidget:

Handspun silk and merino plied with gold thread with a contrasting cotton/elastic band.

Pretty sure we should just swap stashes and call it good Wink

I AM trying to destash yarn after all. I have the skintone in stash for sure. The orange/red might be a different story.

Oh well, who am I kidding....I just came back from a sale at my LYS....

I could put together a little kit of different colored wools/fibers for your doll heads, for sure!

I have been running around like a crazy lady all day nesting. My poor husband. I keep making him get up and lift heavy things for me  Roll Eyes

Just finishing up buttons of baby vest I finished last week after TOTALLY gutting the last remaining mess in the nursery, adding some decoration stuff, doing a load of laundry and taking MORE stash busting pix for my shop (added hair clips, jewelry and button bobby pins) Keeping the prices low to MOVE. Help me make room for baby!

and here is the vest I made:

OH! I have a cheese-making kit too...Any takers?
