Anyone do art with metal? I found these super sweet art pieces in a cafe while I was visiting friends over the weekend.
They look to be just thin copper plates rubbed over things to add the texture/3d element of the planet and then stained and painted. They are super cool, but I don't have supplies for them!

COOL 'eh?!

and here are some other crafty bits I saw on my trip

silkscreened towel for my MIL?

Good morning, group!

Abbeeroad, those rings are so pretty!

LxM, how old is babyMouse now?  I can't seem to keep up -- I remember teething being
such a sleepless & fussy time -- ugh.  Hope she gets through it soon & on to the next
phase  Smiley

and....
an odd question for the group --
does anyone use old bed sheets for anything (quilting, maybe?)
I have a couple that I'm ready to toss, but thought I'd mention it just in case~

wee mouse is 10 months old!!!

I'm going to dye some fiber today (If I can manage it) and list it in my shop. Any color recommendations or requests?

loudxmouse, I am guessing you're too busy to do any spinning with the dyed fiber?

that's my goal Wink I could overdye the tan fiber  I already have listed with red to cut down on time and "cost" of you are still interested

Hooray!  I am 100% interested.  Red over the tan will be great!  Is it possible to get a little bit of light blue in there too?
maybe. because it's already all dyed brown I don't know if the blue will show or if it will turn muddy because of the tan base... hm

So.....it didn't happen today. lollll. Baby Mouse has been super teethy and clingy. She has SIX teeth already. sigh
tomorrow!

ETA: anyone have any KAM snap plyers gathering dust?

I could DRY the apple butter into fruit leather for ease of shipping Wink

I need to go shop!

I still need hotpads, christmas stockings, and any old, wool sweaters you have lying around. Anyone?

I have hot pads in my shop, but they might not be your taste. I can make some in different colors if you want me to.

I added some new supplies and am having a sale.  Today only 1/2 everything in the shop!

I have the felt Advent calendar in my shop.  I always get my kids the cheap ones with chocolates in them and for the past few years they have also each gotten the LEGO advent calendars.  My daughter has outgrown the LEGO ones so I am making her one this year.  It is going to be filled with a Christmas charm for each day so she can make her own charm bracelet.

I love The Abominable Snowman

Also adding this to my wishlist in case anyone *ahem underthemountain* does chainmaille...

the charm idea is genius!

adding some lotion bars to my shop. I have some scrubby ones that are identical to LUSH's "buffy the backside slayer" which my stretch marks love, but my wallet hates. They have aduki beans, rice and ground almonds in them and are scented with pure essential oils! 1pt/ea 3 for 2pt

In my search for stockings I found this CUTE advent calendar made if tiny Norwegian mittens and I had to translate it (poorly) http://precautionaryshindigs.wordpress.com/2014/10/28/another-fiberous-update/

Oh my goodness! I LOVE that! I need that! Although, I would prefer it on a quilted piece (I could do that part) or on a festive rope as a bunting. I wish that I could knit!

An advent calender is on my to-do list. It's something I would like my kids to grow up with, and not just the cheapy ones from the store with the bad chocolate. Wink

I'm going to attempt it this year! Baby girl won't even be one on Christmas, but I want to start Christmas traditions sooner rather than later!

Finished my boot cuffs! THIS will be next!
