I think you did a great job on both bags. My favorite fabric is the first one. Are they upholstery-weight fabrics? They seem to have a nice weight/texture in your pics.

I love it. Nice job.  I am inspired to try making a felted bag. I really like the shape and color of your design.

Many of my purchased bag patterns suggest similar fabrics. I use my favorite cotton and interface it with fusible fleece.  It provides structure to the cotton fabric.

This one is very nice. All the wallets you've created look so nice and crisp (very neat).  I am aspiring to try your tutorial. Thanks for sharing it with us.  I'm looking forward to seeing more of your creations.

I'm sure your Mom will love the apron. It's very nicely done.  Also, I really like the pillow.  My local craft store doesn't carry these patterns. Nice job!

My favorite is #3, followed closely by #2.

Your bags are an inspiration. They are very "happy" bags.

Nice job on your wallet. Your little bear is so cute.

It's very cute and I like your choice of fabric. I may have to try one like it.  Nice job.
9  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Re: What is your favorite Stabilizer? on: November 19, 2007 12:54:43 PM
I agree, I used to line the inside of the handle with a strip about 1/2 the width of the strap but now I'm making it 1/4 of the width to provide softness but not too much bulk.

I like using the iron on firm interfacing like craft fuse but I find it makes my fabrics look too crispy and crunchy.

I'm still learning and experimenting.  Smiley

My favorite is fusible fleece. It feels soft and still provides structure to my bags. I also like fusible fleece in my handles -- very comfy!
