I'm with "teachingjonah."  I've seen that before, but it is such a cute idea.  I know about ouchies.  I once had a big mirror of my first initial fall on me in the middle of the night.  I still will not have anything hanging on the wall hanging over my bed.

I love the colors.  I'm going to email my SIL and suggest something like this.  We both live away from our MIL (we are married to her sons.)  This would be an awesome way to show her how great she is.  She is a SUPER crocheter and I know she would love this.  Thanks for the idea!
585  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Antique Shadowboxes on: April 17, 2008 10:53:02 AM
I love the "lost object" look.  Putting them in the shadow boxes really brings out the great shapes.  And on the glasses subject, both my regular glasses and my sunglasses are cat eyes I got at antique stores.

I love this!  I can only imagine how much time it took.  I have redone many pieces of furniture that were given to me.  It is a concrete connection between us.  I wish your family the best.

This is so beautiful.  I'm making bags for Christmas and I am definitely going to try something like this on them.
