Love the monster mittens!  The paper graveyard is so awesome.  Love it!
12  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: I Hate ******** Swap on: December 16, 2009 09:43:06 AM
This actually sounds pretty cool.  I'm not a big "hater" but most pop culture stuff drives me batty.  I saw a button the other day that I MUST have.  It said "Che killed people, you trendy doucebag"  Love it!  My list would include: anything trendy, sexist "girls" toys, Walmart, tomatoes, marshmallows, trolls (the kind that infest the internet,) bad grammar, and people who park up on the curb in front of my house (it's a serious problem.)  Wow, I guess I have do have some hatin' going on.  Still, definitely going to keep an eye out for this after the first of the year.

Prepare to be jealous guys, I have an ACTUAL vintage aluminum Christmas tree with the color wheel!  All the ornaments on it are vintage, too, some from family, some from estate sales, some from friends.  It's awesome!  Our "family" tree is white and all the goodies on it are bright red, green and gold.  It's the kind of tree that fun handmade stuff is just dieing to hang on.  I have a special place where all of my nativities go.  I think I may take a picture and put it in the swap discussion.  I think you guys might like it.

First off, No, I do not miss Indiana winters, but it is a little harder to get into the Christmas spirit here.  Second, I would LOVE to be part of another Christian swap.  After the first of the year life will calm back down and I'll be ready to go.  I like the idea of a post-Christmas Christian swap.  It'll help to remind us that He should be in our thoughts and hearts everyday, not just at Christmas.  Plus, after looking at this gallery, I Soooooo what to do a swap with you guys!  This stuff was awesome!

That wall hanging is absolutely gorgeous and I love the wind sock.  The bible cover is so unique and beautiful, and I am just about to wist those JOY pictures.  What a great idea!  I am having so much fun looking at what you guys have made, it's helping me get all in the Christmas mood considering it's still in the 60s here.

I will have to clarify the tree a little.  RyverChyld and I are besties from high school, and the tree was from me AND the hubby to help brighten her spirits and to remember that miles apart we will still spend Christmas together this year (and because a frickin' pink tree is the most awesome thing ever  Cheesy).  I had to make very, very, very clear to my dude that it was soooooo not part of the swap, because he tends to put size limits on my swapping and that tree fit into a MUCH bigger box than usual.   Grin

Love the sweater purse!
I received from RyverChyld today!  I only opened a few of the packages because we are saving some for Christmas Day.  Prepare to be jealous.

First off, everything I opened today.

Notice the awesome skull and Hello Kitty wrapping paper!

Here is the most awesome stocking EVER.

PINK SKULLS!!!!!!!!  AND MONKEYS!!!!!  AND PINK!!!!!  AND SKULLS!!!!!!!!!!!!
I squealed with delight and did a happy jig.
The pretty star is a tree ornament.  It's glittery and kinda glows on my tree.

There were two other ornaments in the package.  A beautiful yo-yo tree in different greens, it looks so cool on my white tree.
The other is a stuffed heart with our names and anniversary embroidered on it.  I love them on the tree, but I think I'm going to hang them out all year.  They are so cute!

Finally, two very special presents for me

A very expertly colored monkey in a tree and a hand felted snowman made by the two best evil minions an Evil Genius could ask for.

I am all excited for Christmas so I can see what else she has for me!  I hope she likes her stuff as much as I like mine.
Thanks RyverChyld

Ruby Copperhead, the tatooing toddlers thing made me laugh out loud!  I will never look at felting supplies the same again.  I love all the yarn and the fabric is extra cute.
I Sew Cute, Love the felt mittens.  I never would have thought of that and your kiddos look like they love them.  I'm not much of doll or poppet person, but Celia is really awesome.  The workman ship is amazing and she looks like something you will love for a long time.
Everyone is getting such great stuff!  I am so excited to get mine, but it's coming from Germany around the holidays, so hopefully I'll get it before Valentine's Day.   Grin

USPS has a very spotty tracking system.  Stuff doesn't always get scanned and when it does it isn't automatically uploaded like it is on UPS and Fedex.  I think their motto is "We'll get it there, don't get your knickers in a knot."
