I know this isn't exactly clothing..but it is sewing by a kid..lol. I'm such a proud mommy! Of course he had help from me but I"m starting him young! He will be 3 in a couple of months! I just had to share!

2  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / My First Mei Tai on: March 03, 2008 11:16:14 AM
This is my first Mei Tai and I"m super happy with how it turned out. I had some help but did most of it myself. I'm definately a beginner! I got the tute off Craftster but can't remember where!! I appologize, but if anyone is interested I"m sure I can dig it up somewhere! It worked perfectly for our recent Florida vacation! It was sturdy enough to carry my 34lb toddler!!

Action Shot!

Thanks for looking!!

5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Finally posting Christmas presents!! on: January 19, 2008 03:54:08 PM
I try to pick a theme for CHristmas gifts for all the little ones in my family. This year it was knitted hats! I think I started sometime in August and got everything finished up just in time for christmas! This was a super easy pattern and a very quick knit!

My adorable model!

6  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / First Skirt Attempt on: January 19, 2008 03:41:31 PM
This is my first time making anything wearable, from scratch. I know its probably pretty simple, but I"m proud of it..lol. The waist band is from a retired tank and the skirt portion is from a shower curtain. I think next time I want it a little wider at the bottom so its a little "floofier"!
Hope you like it! Any comments or advice is greatly appreciated!! I'm thinking it needs an applique or something..any suggestions?

Thanks,

Roojaz

7  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Any ideas or patterns? on: January 19, 2008 06:57:26 AM
Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for me. I'm going to Fla in a few weeks and will be taking my son to Disney for the day. I don't want to bring my big purse along..but def want a purse to keep things in. The only thing that is flashing in my mind is Fanny Pack and my brain is screaming NOOOOOOO!!!!  Anywho, does anyone have any ideas or patterns they wouldn't mind sharing with me? I could always just take something with a long strap that I could wear across my body..but hey what fun is that! I want to make something!!!

Thanks so much everyone!

Happy Crafting!
