1  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / Easy Way to Transform a Photograph into a Stencil? on: March 22, 2009 08:33:15 PM
I have yet to do my first stencil yet, but am preparing to do so in the next week or so Smiley Just trying to find the PERFECT image to stencil. I thought it might be fun to try using a photograph to make a stencil, and was wondering if there is an easy way to transform a picture into a stencil? Some type of feature on Gimp or Photoshop? I took a quick peak at both programs but didnt see an obvious answer, so I thought I would ask here. I am sorry if this has been asked and answered before, I did a search but didnt find anything. Of course I havent done a lot of searches here on Craftster, so  I might have missed it Smiley

Thanks for any help
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Understanding the Sizing on Vintage Patterns?? Help on: March 07, 2009 10:18:58 PM
Hi ya crafty girly girls Smiley
I could really use some good basic advice. I am really interested in trying out some fun vintage patterns...there are tons and tons at my local thrift shops...BUT the sizing is so super duper different from sizing of current patterns (which are confusing in their own way but that's another subject). So some good guidelines or just advice for how to read vintage patterens would be super Cheesy

Thanks so much for any help or suggestions
Kisses Tanya
3  California / California: North / Crafty Class in or near Sacramento? on: March 05, 2009 03:00:23 PM
Hello crafty girly girls Smiley I would love to find some fun classes on various interesting crafty subjects in the general Sacramento area. I am actually in Auburn but can certainly travel for a class. Mailing lists of places that have ongoing classes would be super as well. I am really kinda curious about print making, currently. BUT any type of fun class would be great...even a craft group that maybe rotated someone teaching a new subject each month?

Thanks in advance
