WOW this super rocks, and Mommy rocks for helping her girly become the kick butt artist that she is Heheheh I have a tween in the house tooo, but mine didn't know who Taylor Swift is, LOL I asked since I didnt know either....mine is really into Beastie Boys. I love seeing the younger community adding to Crafter and would encorage all of those on here who dont have kids to help their younger sisters/brothers or even a neighboor kid learn how to love crafting/art as much as we all do

I'm not trying to change your mind at all. Just stating a fact that you're destroying personal, private property. All property belongs to someone, even if it is the property of the public.

All of us could find things we don't want to pay for with our tax dollars, but knowing that it is illegal, and continuing to do it by justifying the activity still makes it illegal. Regardless of the content/location, that is just logistics. Besides two wrongs do not make a right.

Just seems a shame to create something you seem so proud of that you post it on a public forum, but you won't try to preserve you work by doing it in a legal manner. As you said you have done the graffiti on the up and up.

Not starting a fight, but it keeps being said that its illegal...its illegal because some old fat white man in a suit decided that it should be illegal...the same old fat white man who is spending MY tax dollars on war instead of arts in the schools. F*ck their laws, they aren't laws that I agreed to, nor was I ever asked. So your right two wrongs dont make a right, but who is calling art wrong? Oh and I happen to volunteer in my community quite often and have painted over jucky tagging, not art. Also before anyone wants to point out that if I don't like the laws I should help change them.....I also do that, as a volunteer for more than one lobby group (I live near the CA capitol which makes it easier). Often the point of art has been anarchy and opening minds to that which is not regarded as "safe" or "mainstream"....this is neither safe nor mainstream and thats why I support it as an art form. We as artists and crafters should be worried about how the world views artists, instead of shopping at WalMart, wearing only Juicy Couture and VS, and believing what is being shoved down our throats though Fox news....art is about revolution! Its a revolution that I want to be a part of

Oh how fun I would love to try making my own casual bra Its so hard for me to find cute and girly bra's being a size 34DD, it seems as soon as you hit the DD size that they think you want to wear granny style bras  which is super duper lame!! Sooooooo it might be fun to try and make my own bra. Yours turned out super duper cute! Lingerie has always been something I have wanted to try making...that...and corsets.

-- funny story - my fourth-grade son loves art and spends a lot of time looking at art books and going to museums and galleries. and his art teacher explained that in the middle ages, nudity in art represented truth and our divine nature. so now when he sees a naked lady in a painting, he'll say - there's some lady showing her truth. i get such a kick out of it every time he says it!

Wow what an amazing child you have and a special art teacher who would take a view like that with kids I love it!! As a mommy myself to a child you loves art, I think I am gonna have to tell my son, your story. Having been a art model myself, with a few paintings in galleries over the years, its a great way to explain to my son why I posed nude for art.

super duper cute I have been playing around with trying to make a couple different type coffee cozies My question for you....does it really keep your hand cool? I would kinda sorta think that with it being silk or faux silk that it would not resist the heat that well. Am I wrong? I have been playing with wool because it seems to hold its own the best against heat...which is the main goal of the cozy.

I think the silk on it's own would not resist the heat well, but the tie is backed with a piece of felt to act as a barrier and a stabilizer.  I don't often get to treat myself to a nice cup of coffee, but I am going to give this to my aunt tomorrow for her b-day so I'll see what she thinks of it.

OHHHHHH that makes perfect sense what a smart cookie you are! I think felt is a perfect way to back it...maybe even the nice wool felt? I am totally going to give this a try...my man is always saying that the cozies that I make are too girly, so I think this would be super fun for him to use.

Did you spend a lot of time sanding and stripping the original paint off? I have a couple projects, all thrift shop pieces, that I am thinking about giving makeovers....your piece has really inspired me to get off my butt and get working on it!

It would be super duper helpful if you would share with us what you did to get the piece in such beautiful shape!

I might just have to rip off this idea and OMG I just made my very first craftster post EVER!!! WOW its been like two years and this is my first post 

I have a bathroom that is just off my brand new craft room and I have been trying to figure out what to do with it. I am going to retile the floor and then I think Im gonna get busy gettin me some jesus bling!! oh yea!! This is a great idea and you did a super duper fun job making it look super cool.
