128  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Faux resin pendents on: May 13, 2008 02:54:34 AM
I was not having any luck with resin Angry So last week my dh bought me a melting pot and a jar of utee (ultra thick embossing enamel) Grin Much easier to work with and no smell, sets up in minutes not days Smiley I think the look is very similar and the only downside I've found so far is that it scratches easily but I solved that with a coat of Olympia water based polyurethane. The next thing to try is embedding objects :)So without further ado...

Opinions please.

The wrapping paper is thinner so much easier on my sewing machine Smiley
130  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Tramp art, candy wrapper weaving, mexican weaving on: April 23, 2008 02:34:11 AM
Made a little coin purse to start with.Strips of wrapper chain sewn together.Zipper was hardest to figure out.Strips are covered with clear packing tape.

Going to try a purse next, like this one...If I can figure out how to make it curve ???Looks like it might be smaller strips at the top.

I spent hours last night looking for tuts and heres what I found...
