1  KNITTING / Knitalongs / flower petal shawl KAL anyone? on: January 14, 2006 02:20:12 PM
I just started the free flower petal shawl pattern from Elann:

I love love love shawls! This one is easy lace and I think it looks supercool and not at all frilly. But it's one of those things where the rows just get longer and longer the further you go and I might need a kick in the pants from other people working on the same thing. I also don't quite understand how to knit the points at the bottom (each is knit separately?) but thought I'd dive in and figure it out when I get there. Alpaca is my favorite so I'm using the suggested yarn in charcoal heather.

Anyone interested in joining me?
2  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / I want to make this! (Anthropologie flower scarf) on: July 19, 2005 04:24:01 PM

I know how to do each of the three different parts. The only thing I am foggy on is how to pick up stitches from the flowers to do the net part, or if I would crochet the sections separately and then join the flowers between them and at the ends?

Any advice?
