1  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / the baptists are gonna take away my foot-washing license for this one.... on: January 26, 2006 01:56:23 PM
so one day i'm driving down the road and i see a really cool bumper sticker. i think "huh, that'd make a cool shirt." so i google it. and sure enough, find the design. yada yada yada, and you get this-

this is my hippie, peace and happiness, can't we all just get along shirt.how un-baptist of me.
2  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Completed Projects / Violence shirt on: August 15, 2005 02:52:15 PM
my wonderful and lovely and creative boyfriend came up with this design and put it on a t-shirt. i took a picture of his shirt, but being on a black shirt, it looked exactly like the design. so here is the design. it made me giggle-

3  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Irvine Welsh inspired shirt on: June 10, 2005 06:47:39 PM
So i was reading 'marabou stork nightmares' (magnificent book, by the way- i highly reccommend it) and i was inspired to make this shirt. the book is about a guy in a coma, if that helps you understand it a little better.

the letters are in a shattered glass-style font. it took FOREVER to cut out.

here's a detail so you can see what i mean-

and the syringe on the hip-

thanks for looking.
4  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / Straight Edge stencils? on: June 10, 2005 02:40:54 PM
i'm trying to make a shirt for a friend and i've decided on doing a sxe shirt, i just can't come up with a good design. i was wondering if any of you lovely craftsters had any straight edge stencils or things of the sort saved to your computers or links to them? thanks.
5  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / can YOU tell what it is? on: April 15, 2005 04:21:54 PM
i'm not sure if it's all that obvious.....it worked in theory, at least. i printed off a stencil and first colored it with the purple and then pulled the stencil off and traced it with an assortment of fabric markers.

here's a close-up so you can maybe get a better idea of what i'm talking about...
6  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Ok, so I like Brad Pitt movies on: April 05, 2005 01:36:01 PM
one of these is an iron-on and the other is a stencil, but i figured i'd post them both here. the fight club shirt....

close up of ed norton....

close up of soap....

the snatch shirt. it really is more vibrantly yellow than it looks in this pic-

and the close up.....

the snatch shirt was probably the easist stencil i've ever done.
7  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Thus passes the glory of the world on: March 22, 2005 03:02:59 PM
i made this shirt for my Latin project. we were just supposed to make something that had to do with Latin, Greece, or Rome. i decided on a fall-of-rome-kinda theme and stenciled "Sic Transit Gloria Mundi" on the front, which means "Thus passes the glory of the world."

and the back is an iron-on of a painting by the surrealist Cusimano, titled (how appropriate) 'Sic Transit Gloria Mundi'.
8  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Fight Club and Hunter S. Thompson (R.I.P) on: February 28, 2005 03:37:15 PM
made this shirt a while back with spray paint.
the front says "Tyler Durden says....."

and the back says "Use Soap" and underneath that "In Tyler We Trust"

close up of back

and a final tribute to the Good Doctor, Mr Hunter S. Thompson, may he rest in peace....

sorry for the crappy quality of the pics. dunno what's wrong with the camera. they're just plain black and red shirts.
