1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / bat pouch/wallet/wristband on: August 27, 2007 07:02:03 PM
i found this killer fabric at joann's in the remnants section for about $2. it screamed at me to make it into something for my friend whose favorite colors are green and black, and whose favorite animal is a bat. it was meant to be.

made with the tutorial from the awesome tute here:

and the awesome lining, which reminds me of a dinosaur? not sure why...

and the pouch! made with this tute:

i gave it to her yesterday (it was her birthday), and she liked it! and it cost about $7 all together.
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / jedi inspired hoodie on: August 24, 2007 02:42:02 PM
this is the first thing i have sewn for myself in a really long time. i'm pretty pleased, though it's super rough on the inside. but, it reminds me of star wars, which makes me happy. i'm thinking about adding a kangaroo pocket (i think that is what it's called), what do you think?

comments/criticism would be appreciated!

EDIT: thanks for all the awesome feedback! you guys are so nice.  i would love to make a tut (tute?), i just sort of winged it while i was sewing and this came out, so i'll figure it out and post it soon. it is so comfortable (i made it out of jersey material), everyone should have one.
also, i made the hood by tracing a hood on a jacket i already own, and then added a strip about 4 inches wide down the center, i'll take a better picture of it so you can see. huge hoods=love. i am also adding a pocket! photos to come soon.
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / my first hat! on: August 07, 2007 10:42:42 AM
this is the first hat i have knit! and the first time i've posted a project on crafter :)

i've conquered my fear of knitting hats and already want to make about 5 more.

i knit it for a friend who is having a baby, i'm really pleased with it!

i can't figure out how to insert an image and get it to load properly... any help would be appreciated! but here is a link:  http://www.flickr.com/photos/11183306@N08/1045159890/
