1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Pretty Pick Up Scarf & Mittens on: January 21, 2008 07:32:26 AM
I needed something to make the fleece that I wear to pick up my son from preschool look less depressing. So here it is (pictures are clickable):

It's just a simple shell stitch using a size L hook and moonlight mohair (just over 2 balls for the set).
2  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Knights Who Say Brrr Hat on: January 13, 2008 07:29:04 AM

My oldest son's new hat. He loves knights so I made him a crocheted helmet with detachable visor. There are more picture on my blog http://themoderationist.blogspot.com/
3  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Car seat Quilt on: September 22, 2007 05:17:51 PM
My friend just a had a baby and my boys total love cuddly car seat sized blankets that they got as babies so I decided to make her son one. Here it is:

It's a tied quilt and other than rag quilts I made my boys, the first real quilt I've done. I know it's all wonky, but I'm really pleased for my first time.
4  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Striped Slouchy Shrug on: August 29, 2007 06:22:13 AM
The yarn shop by my home had a huge moving sale so I got this great Self-striping Italian Mohair yarn for 75% off. I used it to make this slouchy shrug by Diane Langan. I think that if I had it to do over I might do the collar and cuffs differently, but it's my first wearable so I'm pretty happy.

5  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Receiving Blanket Redux - Img chunky on: August 16, 2007 02:16:41 PM
I wanted a way to remember the receiving blankets that I used to swaddle my boys (1 and 4 now), so I converted them to a rag quilt. This is my first ever quilt. Thanks for looking!

6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Lovebirds Bag on: August 02, 2007 04:53:57 PM
So let me preface this by saying I really have no idea what I'm doing. I loved all the bags I kept seeing and so I thought I'd try to make one, but I don't really know how to sew. I found this great remnant of upholstery fabric for $1 and fell in love with it. So this is what I made

7  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / School Bus Scarf on: July 06, 2007 11:13:41 AM
I just finished this school bus scarf based off of Her Blog ( http://her.blogware.com/blog/_archives/2007/3/20/2822173.html ) although I ended up making several changes.  I cut it down in length by about 12 inches and it is still plenty long for my 4 yo to grow into for years to come. Thanks for looking!
