1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Curtain fabric party/cocktail mini dress goodness :) [pic heavy] on: September 22, 2008 09:20:20 AM
That's such a pretty little dress! I've been looking for one just like it, without success. Tutorial maybe? It's definitley not too short or too busy. Maybe on someone else it would be, but you pull it off very very well.

BEST jacket ever! And I certainly don't think the pants are "useless", they're fantastic!

That's adorable. It's the perfect lenghth. I always have trouble finding shirts that are a length like that.

PS-your ruffles are beautiful!

The three I can see are all pretty Impressionistic. I personally like the last one that has less blue and more black. It seems less expected, and "classroom-like"

Anyway, I love that you took the same (or similar) subject and did variations.

How did you attach the fabric to the bracelet?

Awesome idea!! My roommate and I were just talking about how we have tons of those bracelets lying around....

each flag is different, but there are five sets:
"I am the grapevine"
"we're all just atoms"
"Sometimes I think you're a man, but most of the time I know you're a zebra"
"Cars are just really big crayons"
"Nothings more brilliant than furniture polish"

They're all quotes.
7  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Thesis Show! on: May 06, 2008 10:30:01 PM
After four years I'm finally done with my thesis show!!!

My main piece was a screen printed set of "prayer flags"
"There Ain't No Sin and There Ain't No Virtue"

I also had a sculptural tire piece which is posted in the crochet section in a very different installation.

This is a small embroidery/applique piece that is comprised of three panels.

I had a few other screen printed pieces in the show as well.

If you guys would like, Ill post my artist statement...

p.s. I LOVE critique!

Thanks for looking!

It'd actually make a horrible toy. It's felted so tightly that it's really hard.
