1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Embroidery tray for more portable stitching on: September 27, 2007 08:27:52 PM
Well you can't sew on the go with it (thats my next project to work on) but with summer coming here and also just wanting to stitch in bed or on the couch more easily I decided to make one of these trays. It's simply a square, lined with flannelette, with the corners sewn up. I had to unpick and resew the corners (so maybe tack them first until it stands the way you want it to) but it was super easy, made it to a nice small size I find convenient and now I just load my floss, needles, scissors etc in, and go sit outside or in bed and embroider. I hurt my back recently and was stuck in bed for 2 days, nearly went insane but this tray saved me!!

Finally tried my hand at redwork, and it was my best embroidery ever. Quick(ish), fun, simple and neat. Well neat on the front....

3  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / First ever embroidery project on: August 24, 2007 06:52:14 PM
My grandma will die of happiness to hear I am loving embroidery. I think my Sublime Stitching book is one of the best things I ever bought!
This was my first ever try and people seem to prefer my second attempt but I think this one is heaps cuter!

Heres the second one to compare:
