Pretty yarns Jenna! I love the bfl dyed by Kristin! I have some of her merino/silk on my to spin list this weekend! She has such lovely colorways!!
I have a few this week.. I spent a lot of time carding to make up for my vertigo last week.
Here's a corespun yarn, from yarnzombie (lufah) sw merino/icicle roving balls Clown College
Here's a fun bright batt that I spun thick and thin, and plied it with beehives and coils Alien Encounter
This is a pretty single from merino/tencel with just a touch of angelina Shenandoah
And on the wheel now.. for the So Pink it Hurts Ravelry SAL.. Corespun alpaca locks, corridale fleece, kid mohair locks, teeswater locks, lincoln locks, sari ribbon and strands, chiffon snippets, novelty yarn, sparkle, bamboo, firestar, silk, sequins, banana silk Sorry for the flash shots.. I was spinning this last night and the light was terrible..
Happy weekend everyone! Today is my hubby's birthday and I have tomorrow off.. so it's mostly a fiber weekend for me! hurrah!
I haven't spun much this week because I have been dealing with a terrible bout of vertigo. Anything spinny made me dizzy.. my carder, my wheel, scrolling the computer screen.. It's been awful!
I did manage to get a couple done.. and we got a new camera this week, so I'm just loving the 12x zoom and macro function!
This one will stripe (w/4 repeats) in bold pink, blue and green, with natural brown shetland in between each one.. There's TONS of sari silk and sari silk waste in all colors.. so the striping may be subtle.. Mumbai Nights (yardage not measured yet)
I carded up a batt of black merino, with TONS of rainbow angelina. I made some freeform felt nubbies by putting handfuls of scrap fiber into a mesh bag, and washing it on hot with soap. I corespun the batts, adding the felt nubbies.. Rock Show (no yardage yet, but almost a lb skein!)
Finally, I spun up some yummy enchanted knoll batts thick and thin, with a metallic thread candy striping. I then plied with a yellow rayon thread One Fish, Two Fish (yardage not measured yet)
I've been on a crazy corespinning kick this week.. only one of my yarns isn't corespun LOL!!
Here's my non corespun yarn.. a thick and thin single from a carded batt of cotswold lamb locks and silk noil, with some extra cotswold lamb locks spun in. I added lots of pink and green angelina, pink and green firestar, pink silver and green sequins strands and pink and silver turbo glam and pink and green pom poms spun in with pink and green lurex holosparkle thread. Pixi Garden, 49 yards
Here's the corespuns..

Peonies, 50 yards uncarded merino locks, angelina, turbo glam, sari silk ribbon and strands, silk fabric

I've had some spinning time.. here's a few I've finished this week..
This is a merino/tencel 2 ply.. from 8 oz!! I never spin 2plies, but these colorways begged to be spun together! Agate, 150 yards, bulky/superbulky
This yarn is from a set of batts I carded from merino x locks, targhee fleece, alpaca clouds and 3 colors angelina. The batts were so fluffy.. and the yarn has TOTAL squoosh factor! it's superbulky, spun with a low twist SeaFoam, 80 yards
I've got some supercoils.. 10 yards (from almost 3 oz!!) Disco Mama
This last one is my fave! It is from a set of crazy batts. I added extra sari silk and jumbo bling.. It's corespun on a cotton crochet thread Boogie Down, 84 yards
Isamax, I love them all, but bubbles is my fave! Can't wait to see what everyone else has this week!! Happy weekend!!
Hey Everyone! Happy Friday!! I'm so enjoying this beautiful Spring weather!

I spun up 7 oz of YUMMY cotswold locks dyed by hollyeqq in brilliant shades of greens, purples and blues. I added 6 colors angelina and some novelty yarn snippets.. and spun the yarn as whole locks- very little flicking.. so there's lots of curls Comfortably Numb, 70 yards
Marshy, 66 yards merino x locks and merino top corespun with 3 colors of angelina, and 2 colors of lurex bling LOTS of texture and curls!! this one is super soft!
Happy Thoughts, 150 yards 100% silk

Stripes Galore 240 yards, merino spun thick and thin with a low twist 9 OZ!!!!
I hope everyone has a great weekend! I'm going to spin outside for a bit before the sun goes down!
Here's my fiber wall.. all the cubbies are from target.. the top ones you can't see are filled with my shop batts.. the rest is fiber from other fiber artists
Here's my carding table, with fiber underneath it.. this was a few months ago.. so it's MUCH more packed under there now.. I mean it's crazy!!
My add in bins... also much more stuffed now.. I got a bunch of new colors of angelina and glitterati, and a new batch of sari silk ribbon and thrums, as well as new pom poms and silk flowers that are all now in these bins as well..
Happy Friday folks!! Well.. it's just after midnight, so it's technically Friday here! LOL! I have a super early flight to catch tomorrow to Chicago, so I won't have time to post then. and I've spun some yarns I'm really excited about.. so I figured I'd share before I went to bed.. since it is Friday.. lol!!
The first is my most favorite!! I'm taking it with me to start knitting with. It was for the shop.. but I just can't let it go!! LOL!! I spun some amazing yarnzombie (lufah) balls that were a blue/lavender and green. there were super awesome scotch mule locks and tons of sparkle! Jacki called them Tide Pool. I really wanted the yarn to look like a tide pool, so I corespun the roving, and added tail spun locks, bits of fleece and different sparkle to mimic the critters you find in tide pools. 128 yards
Here is a fun "scrap" yarn on the bobbin.. this is a HUGE pile of random fiber that I put on the floor and just pull from..
Here's the finished yarn.. 6 oz, 80 yards, SUPER bulky
Here's another yummy corespun I finished yesterday..
Loop feb batt corespun.. with a few spots wrapped in pink lurex yarn, with some gold "key" charms
I can't wait to see what everyone else has spun when I get into Chicago tomorrow, and back to a computer!! I hope everyone has a great day!!
